been wondering about this:

if i have 2 characters, both of wich have automatic warlord traits, what happens?

- pick one, and use that trait, the other characters warlord trait is ignored
- randomly pick
- both apply


ive seen argument for pretty much all sides of this.. and im unsure as to the actual RAW on the situation.

First you have to follow the rules outlined on how you chose your warlord, page 111 bold section right along the top. Once you have your warlord it sort of becomes a little bit obvious as to which trait you would take. For the logical flow, as you state you have heard people say otherwise, take note that the rest of rules in this section directly relate to your warlord. As you only have one warlord in your army, the rules informing you how you decide your warlord trait would only apply to your warlord model and none of the other HQ unit traits you might have available.

Basic Rule Book FAQ on the Game Workshop website, page 9, right hand side, second question directly answers this question so you can show it to the people who say otherwise.

Anyone knows why cutting and pasting from that website formats every single letter as it's own line?

ah thanks. yea it makes a sort of sense. i think the confusion comes in where a character has a trait in their special rules entry, and therefore person believes they have that rule, even if they arent a warlord.



but that said im not much of a rules lawyer, and some people i game with think they are.... so it evoloves into this sort of thing.
