So I noticed that my armies biggest problem is it has to go first or it dies easily.
SO i was thinking about doing this. Aunva with his trait of all units can not be grounded anymore.
Going to ground adds +2 to your cover save with and ADL that gives you a 2+ cover.
So if i dont get to go first, any unit that is being shot at can GTG, get a 2+, then be safe for the next turn with aunvas trait.

Yeah, that's pretty much the only reason you take the Space Pope, that and the fact the behind the ADL he is one of the most durable warlords in the game.

Except against serpent shields, feth those things.

Hive tyrants are tall enough that they can see over the aegis line if you are not all the way forward on it. In which case you only get the 5+ save for intervening models (if there are any). Twin-Linked devourers are nasty vs space pope (S6 AP-).

How exactly does this work hotsauce? I can see that you have the 2+ cover save with your guys when they GTG on your turn.. but what is it for Aunva that makes all units not be "grounded" anymore? Because that has huge implications about any shooting they do the following turn. Are you talking about using both his stubborn and FnP invocations at the same time? Or did you have something else in mind? And does that work if they go first, I thought you decide the invocations at the top of the user's turn.

Ah nm! Just realized you're using the warlord trait to accomplish it.

Aunva gets the warlord trait where once per game your units ignore the draw back to going to ground.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."
