I have yet to hold the actual model in my hand so I must ask this question. Can the head of the Chaos lord be removed? From all the pictures i have found his chin is sorta hidden in his armour, so i don't know if there is even anything there....
sorry if it's confusing, but in summary, can the head be removed and work as a head on another model?

No, it's not possible. His head is part of the main Body and thanks to the collar around his neck ist almost impossible to get the head off without damaging the rest of the chest.

I wouldn't try it.
Do you have a specific conversion in mind?

If you seriously want to try it read on.
The only ways i see would require serious resculpting of details. You need to cut through th collar and neck and resculpt those areas that where damaged in the process. Also the way the DV models are designed there might be areas with no details (because covered by other stuff). You'd also need to work on the torso of the target model to actually put the head there. Because you just cut his neck away and need to replace it. (And all other details that are missing/are damaged during cutting.)

it is do able, but its ridiculously difficult, you'd have to either use the Collar that's attached and blend it with the new model. also the rest of the chaos lord would be pretty much destroyed.

Yeah you are definitely not going to easily get the head out in any way that would be usefull, even if you do its gonna take some resculpting to get it to look right. I actually have a spare DV lord front section that I don't know what to do with.
