anyway I am considering making a P.O.M for my tyranid "wings" army. I have looked at many diagrams and even spent several hours staring at a diagram of a bats wing, and il be f*cked if I know how to make the bloody wings forhe warrior body! can anyone please please, please help me?

An alternative to useing thick paper is metal foil. If you use a good thickness (0,15 mm in my case) it is stable enough to sculpt on it. This is nice especially if you want to scratchbuild all parts of the wings. (But for a tyranid player theunicorn's method is pobably suited better. I just want to provide an alternative approach. )

This is a wip shot of the wings. Yu can see the glued on wire for additional stability and the basic shape of the arms.

That is some great sculpting doomhammer, I am impressed and now following you Dakka Blog. I used heavy paper stiffened with glue for weight reduction and because I did not have any good quality foil. I also sculpted mine flat because I new that I was going to cast them in Resin and would bend them with a heat gun once cast.
