In case any of you dident know or don't follow online gaming much, the previous
40k mmo dark crusade was canceled. About a year later, we get this.

Made by a relatively unknown company who brought you such smash hits as the doritos game, and other classics. Now after thq went under, this studio managed to pick up about half the people working on the original dark crusade. supposed to be somewhat like the space marine video game, focus on over shoulder shooting with equal meelee options.
Good beginning interview articles can be found here:

Some personal highlights are things such as making the game free to play, having 4 factions, and the only free character available being ork boyz. 4 beginning armies to choose from, space marines, chaos, elder and orks. You can pay to unlock either races or classes, not much detail on that yet. They wanted the orks to be the most numerous, and put the free players squarely in that camp. Which is good, because it takes 5 orks to kill a marine (the non paying type of orks who will be level or power capped as a free player) You can still pay to unlock options for orks such as nob or mekboy or even warboss if you still prefer that race.
Also amusing is how they are talking about selling taunts for money, a specific example was given where an ork would beat a marine, then proceed to tea bag him. The taunt costing the ork 1.50 to purchase, out of a big list of choices. Effectivley monetizing trolling.
Not really much more to go on than this so far, but a buddy of mine who is about to be let go from the now reduced seattle battle bunker has been given an alpha testing invite, so in 6 months or so we should be hearing the first rumors of actual gameplay. For now looking to update this when new articles or tidbits are released.
