At the moment I am looking to remove a whole gallery from my profile as I now have better pictures but with 50+ images in it, deleting it one at a time would take far too long to make it worthwhile. So I was thinking it might be an idea to add an option to delete multiple pictures. Maybe like a checkbox option on the thumbnail pages? As well, maybe add an option to delete an entire gallery.

I asked about this previously and was advised this is not an option that would be forthcoming. Here's what I did...

- Created a new gallery called 'Old Pics - No longer available'
- Went to the gallery I wanted to delete
- Used the drop downs to move all the pics to the 'Old Pics' gallery
- Called it a day

We like to discourage deletions where possible as you never know if some random foreign forum is linking to your image as an example of something and deleting it would take out some discussion elsewhere on the web - we want to be stable hosts for wargaming images worldwide, not just here on dakka. It happens quite a bit with South Korean forums for some reason!

A result of this is that there is no batch delete function for the gallery. Moving into an 'old pics' gallery and disabling voting on each image is a reasonable course of action to take focus away from those images.
