Hi Dakka,

I've just acquired a couple of stalkers and came up with the list below.

Zandrekh
RC
Veiltek
LanceTek x4

8xDeathmarks
Stalker (HGC)
Stalker (HGC)

12xWarriors (GA - 2 Lancetek)
12xWarriors
9xWarriors (GA - with Z)

3x Heavy Destroyers

Anni Barge
Anni Barge

(1847 pt)
My aim is to capitalise on the TL effect from the stalkers. So, I picked units of 10 warriors (this was to give some flexibility - I figured that as I had 2 stalkers having 3 squads of warriors made more sense that 2 bigger ones, but comments welcome), Heavy destroyers, bumped up the Deathmark numbers and brought back LanceTeks (Which are taking over one of the GA). Added Z for tankhunters, stealth, furious charge etc.

I'd really appreciate feedback on whether to combine the warrior squads and thoughts on weaknesses.

Cheers!

How are you getting those warriors into range?

Don't have the codex in front of me but aren't you restricted to 1 RC member per unit for each RC? I'm only seeing 1 RC so you wouldn't be able to take 2 lanceteks in 1 warrior squad. You would only be able to do this if you had a second overlord and RC.

Yeah, I do believer the RC set up isn't legal... Beyond that.. I am liking the list.

I agree on the HGC... I've played my stalkers both ways and the heatray has some benefit vs horde armies... though your likely not getting it into melta range before getting shot up, so is uses goes down a little bit.

TL the DM is going to be nice since they normally don't fair as well after the HtH target goes down... still make good MC hunters.. or for taking out pesky things like ethereals then pinning FW.

Also, I like the smaller units for this kind of set up. If you take down a target quickly it allows you to change over and shoot at something else... plus it handles issues like multiple FMC... forcing more grounding tests as a whole.

3000pts: Hive Fleet Empusa
- 3000pts Rampagers

Not entirely sure at the moment. I'm torn between sticking them in front of the GA, or making a Warrior sandwich with the GA on either side. Thoughts?

I'm only detaching 2 of the Lanceteks, and leaving the other 2 as a separate Royal court. They are "stealing" a GA to tool around in.

Thx, I'm keen to try it out once I get my stalkers built.

Thx, I was wondering about that. Tbh I was kind of thinking that TL a 20 man warrior squad might be overkill. Not that there is anything wrong with that!

I'm also wondering about the extra pulseteks in the 12 man warrior squads. Having ability to snipe is good and all, but maybe more warriors are better?
