Why the firestorm redoubt? I am going to assume it just some really high shot count auto guns since 'nids can't pull triggers.

It has 2 guns on it.

Each one firing 2 strength 9 ap 2 twinlinked skyfire and interceptor shots at the nearest Flyer or Flying MC or the nearest target if there is no flyers or flying mc to target. And seeing as its Automated weaponry at BS2, it means i'm fine to use it !

Hooray for bs2 and twinlinked!!!

In my opinion, don't give Trygons Toxin Sacs, yeah the wound on 4+ with re-rolls but 2+ is preferably, yet again in my opinion. I would suggest at least 20 or 30 Termagants in a competitive list because 10 will get destroyed in one round of shooting. I know Tervigons spawn more, but 10 are easy victory points and if its objectives they aren't great objective holders. Ymgarls are a brilliant choice seeing as they can charge when they jump out of terrain and scare the living out of any shooting unit or Leman Russ! Viewing myself as a rather 'strict' Tyranid player I like to stick to Tyranid themes. I wouldn't go for the Firestorm Redoubt, instead consider a couple of Zoanthropes and just have 1 Ymgarl Unit? Or if you want have 2 broods of 6 Ymgarls and a unit of 2-3 Zoanthropes, the first option is preferable I think! Zoanthropes anti-tank may be 18" range but they have a 3+ invuln to save them and with a Flyrant about, they may want to shoot at that Zoanthropes are also effective marine killers with Warp Blast. Tervigons are amazing and defo deep them with Catalyst, to make your gaunts or Flyrant(or anything in your list!) slightly harder to kill. Flyers may be a problem but your Flyrants should be able to deal with that. To be a bit of an the DoM in a Mycetic Spore is incredibly funny and a gret distraction that should survive most things! They are coming! I feel them scratching inside my mind, scratching, screaming, running, so many...so, so many voices. They're coming for us - flesh, body and soul!

What do you get if you attach a laser sight to a Lasgun? Twin-linked!

Very good list, except that the Tervigons should get Onslaught for the 3 Biomancy powers, IMHO.

You might want to reread the poison rules, it is now 4+ or you Str vs T, which ever is better to wound with re-rolls if S is equal or greater. So a trygon wounds on 2+ with re-rolls.

Most comp. lists run 10 packs of gaunts with the trevigon.

Toxin sacs is THE upgrade to get on trygons.

On another note, if you're running more than ten gants, you're wasting points that could be spent on something better. Gants are freebies. Why pay for something you can get for free? They serve the same purpose regardless of size. If you find yourself running out by the end of the game, you're playing them wrong.
