To make it more fair for me, shall I change some of the pts values of the units in the old Necron codex, as I like it better and am using it. For example, Immortals are only 17 pts in the new dex and in the old one, they are 28. They are not much different, so I believe it should be like 20 pts for the old codex immortals. PLease help with what I should change.

Immortals and warriors are ok. However, there are a few units/items in their dex which is either over-costed or underpriced. Here are my suggestions as to what the costs of these should be:

Mindshackle Scarabs 25-pts

Phase Shifter 30-pts

Night Scythes 120-pts

Canoptek Wraiths 40-pts

Annihilation Barges 110-pts

Canoptek Spyders 70-pts

I think he wants to rebalance the old codex, not the new one.

I'd think you'd still want to put in a few new units and change/add/remove some of the special rules as the oldcron codex was kind of small in that department. A flier or anti-flier is a definite must.

What rules shall I add? Should I change the points of the immortals?

"We are immortal" for rerollable RP/WBB as an optional upgrade mayhaps?

Old Immortals were S5 T5 space marines with Rapid Fire heavy bolters.

25 points minimum. Lychguard are the same statline as old Immortals and they're 40 points each. 45 with a power sword and a 4++.

Old gauss blasters were 24" S5 Ap4 Assault 2, compared to rapid fire of today's immortals. We'll be Back rolls were made on the 4+, but were ignored by instant death or a melee weapon that ignores the model's armor save, unless a resurrection orb was within 6" of the unit, in which case We'll be Back was always made.

If old immortals were 20ppm, it'd be a breeze just to spam them and march across the board, which was what people were able to do with 18pt. warriors.

I was going to suggest dropping the price of destroyers until I noticed that they were jetbikes and get jink with 6th edition rules.

Old edition Necrons are more expensive than new edition because they were typically much tougher. Playing them with 6th edition rules won't necessarily make them weaker, but its an old army with much less diversity of units and weapons and it'll probably seem stiff and awkward at times.

I'm not sure if the old Necrons warrant a price drop, you might have to play some games and see for yourself if you haven't already.

Sekhmet - Dynasty 4000pts Greenwing - 2000pts Deathguard - 1500pts Daemons of Nurgle - 1000pts ~320pts

old necrons will shine vs the new eldar wraith-spam, as the guns will always wound on a 6 regardless of toughness, so S4 is no longer an issue vs T8. you can also upgrade 'em to do the same n close combat, so sending scarabs against a wraithknight could, if you have enough, bring it down. as will mass-rapid-fire, i once did it against someone who brought the deciever up against my 20 warrior unit. then the deciever disappeared.

I sure know the feeling of being stiff and arkward... sorry.

Old crons where tougher in a lot of respects and that is why they where more expensive. The new dex kicks so much ass i can't see why you wouldn't wanna use it though!

Eh, the C'tan didn't make much since.

"Yeah, we are totally Gods! Just don't shoot us with sniper rifles, blow darts and over sized laser pointers, k?"

I do miss the pariahs though. They were pretty cool, though they did need a bit of tweaking.

Perhaps this could be a C'tan loyalist list? Take some stuff from the new book but replace as little as possible.

The general greater hardiness can be handwaved as a reward for their loyalty.

This may be more for a fandex than a simple tweak of the 3e book though.

Or a supplement. A "Slaves of the C'tan" supplement would be pretty neat.

Or perhaps a FW style variant list.
