@graven: SLEEP ACQUIRED. In spite of one of my cats demanding to be fed at 5:30 in the morning.
@Vit: That's a lot of Feth.
@Yellow: Thanks! I spilled the requisite blood early on in the project, so Khorne was appeased.
@Cave: YES. Except, to be fully 80's YO JOE, I need to add 80 more guns, and it needs springs to launch the missiles, and a hidden Cobra Firebat, and...
@Childe: Shut. UP.
@dsteingrass: Coming from you, that means a lot to me.
@Darkvoid: Thanks! Next up, final details and more rivets.
@Gits: It is my temple to all things 40K. I suppose I should make some AdMech figures for it, Servitors, etc.
@NinjaCupCake: Welcome, and thanks! Please Ninja a half dozen cupcakes to my desk. Yes, this forum is an EPIC motherload of inspiration AND support. You can ask any question in this forum, and get a healthy, rational response. Or a solid razzing if you ask about <Sports Team> or why people are willing to sit and watch Cricket.
---
I made a change to the tractor, I removed the Heavy Bolters, as I realized that this is NOT a land fortress, it is an Ordinatus with one job; to fire missiles. However, I did keep all the lascannons intact. I don't expect a couple of Twin-Linked Heavy Bolters to be of much use, even in 6th edition, unless I had a LOT of them. And that just didn't look right to me.
So, I have an airbrush thoughtfully loaned to me by Galorn. I'll be doing a lot of practice with this, very soon. I have the pieces parts for the last two missiles inbound from the UK. I would like to say that, while I was able to acquire SOME bits through US stores, the majority of my bits have come from the UK. I mean, there's just a staggering difference in stock levels between the US and UK stores. Bravo, folks.
What's left to do?
Rivet down the main support sections.
Add the side radomes/radar dishes.
Add a few more greeblies and gubbins.
Assemble the last two missiles, then seal up and detail all six missiles.
Learn how to use an airbrush.
Primer coat.
Paint.
---
Now, here's where y'all come in.
I need some ideas on two things:
1) What paint scheme. Obviously, "Adeptus Mechanicus Red" is the Boxcar Red of the 40th Millennium. And I'm okay with that. Pink is right out. I'm open to other suggestions.
2) A name. Obviously, this is an "Ordinatus Golgotha". But it isn't, really, there's a few tweaks and a totall different superstructure. So, since this construct was built during the Badab War, for the Tyrant of Badab....I need a new name! Fire away!
Thanks for all the support, folks!

A "Fachen Class" Ordinatus Golgotha. Fachen was a giant out of Celtic mythology who's visage was so terrifying that the mere sight of it was said to induce heart attacks. (very appropriate for this weapon of mass terror) Best of all, when somebody asks what it is... you can honestly answer... "It's a Fachen missile launcher!"

Man, I had some great ideas for names, but after reading Gits response I don't want to tell you them.
The Fachen Missile Launcher is its name. Make sure you paint that on there some where.
As a matter of fact, can we name the missiles too?

I am going to be using the amusing names from various decal sheets, to name the missiles.
"Professor Falchen, would you like to play a game?"
"Yes, Ordinatus. I would like to play Global Thermonuclear War."
"Are you sure? How about a nice game of Chess?"

So, haven't been able to do a lot, but here's a general update:
Ordinatus:
Four missiles assembled, need detailing. Parts for the last two missiles are winging their way to me from the UK.
Valkyrie Project:
I've determined the bitz I need. Getting the Cockpit Glass is going to be impossible, all bitz stores are sold out. I'm looking at cheap 1:48th Apache models to see if that'll do the deed. Sigh.
Deathstrike Launcher:
Need to paint and decal, and that'll be done!
Tau Project:
I have to finish the Hammerhead, then assemble a Devilfish, and pick up a Firewarrior Squad. I think I have enough to put together a 500 point Tau Army, which I'll then sell off, most likely.
Bitz organiation:
OMG, so behind on this. I haven't even dealt with the last megabitz bag I bought (and was grossly dissapointed in).
Minotaurs Space Marines:
On hold until 6th Edition. I have a LOT of Marine stuff, and my original Marine Love, Dark Angels, are getting a new Codex. Mmmmm.
Imperial Guard:
On hold until 6th Edition. Also, I am seriously considering ditching most of my Guardsmen, in favor of going full Pretorian. Between my Col.Gravis Rough Riders and Victoria Lamb's stuff, it'd be damn easy and fun. We'll see.
Chaos Tzeentch:
On hold until 6th Edition. Waiting for the new codex.
Other Projects:
Tabletop/Terrain: Working on the Necron Tomb World, need more foam and some pine bark chips. Other worlds in progress. Have to find a standardized 'container' for moving the tables around.
RT/2nd Ed Salvage: Got a lot of stuff, need to do a major, major cleanup job on it all. Currently boxed.
Skirmish Games:
Wreck Age: I unpacked my miniatures, going to clean, prime, and paint those up. Rules and scenarios are starting to become available. I'll be trying to demo this game, locally.
Dust Warfare: Not going to buy any miniatures yet. Yet. I love the vehicles, I hate the miniatures, due to their sculpts and poses. Don't know of any local players/groups.
Flames of War: Will paint up what I have, there are local groups, but I don't have anywhere near an Army. This may be eBay bait.
Killzone: Going to build up a Marine force for this, since that's the majority of what I have in bitz right now. I think. They'll be Minotaurs for sure, since I should stay with the theme, instead of going all over the place. Maybe a Deathwatch Kill Team, instead. I may also build an IG 'boarding crew' using my IG Vets squad and other bitz.
Starship Games:
Battfleet Gothic: On hold, no one really to play with. This is, really, a "Fond Memories" project.
Firestorm Armada: Man, do I have TONS of ships for this game. Again, no local players. Backburnered, may go on eBay.
Other GW Games:
I have an original, but beat up, copy of Talisman 2nd edition with tons of expansions. But, since the success of Talisman 4th, the demand for this game has gone way, way down. Should clean up and store it better or eBay it.
I have a MASSIVE collection of Warhammer Fantasy Quest. This is boxed up. I don't have a real local "Gaming Group" to unleash such things on, so it is in the same "Find Memories" place as BFG.
That's about it from this round of cleanup, organization, and a trip down memory lane.

The WarStore semi-regularly cleans out their bits, and bags them up. But it can be quite hit or miss.
HOWEVER, for sorting through with kids, and using for kid-projects?
Well worth the investment!
