after you collect your arrows you find that all the wounds are shallow but need washing as they are tainted with some kind of ichor, after cleansing and wrapping them you head off again, after a short journey you have the twon in sight, but even now you can see something wrong, theres no fire smoke at all

The Golden Army marches towards the citadel with the sound of a bone-jarring rumble as hundreds of thousands of ossified feet pound the earth as they sally forth, spears jutting forward. In the first rank, pikemen impale enemy troops before they have the chance to react, their great spears running entire columns of men through. Clouds of white fletched arrows buried themselves in bodies, dropping them like flies.

(mordo) The armies of commoners that you encounter quickly fall but you find their bodies impossible to revive, and soon there is a field of bodies that even the undead have trouble moving over

then a war call loud and pure hurts your ethereal ears and close to fifty paladins charge into the fray, they simply run *along* the spears and pikes, driving them into the ground and running in toe to toe with your warriors, soon your army of pikemen is smashed into the ground and they do not stir, hol;y magic prevents you from using necromantic magic on the holy grounds of the fields of phobos.

The paladins retreat and before you know it fully a third of your vanguard has been wiped out with nary a wound inflicted on your enemy, the sons of phobos that lie on the ground impaled by spears, get up and wrench them out, holy magic healing them, you understand now that it is the clerics of the city who are your most powerful foe, but as of yet you have noo way to reach them, protected as they are.

Brutal close combat ensuesw as the commoners charge back into battle, warcry's of phobos ion their lips as they hack into your undead. Utter fearlessness at the horrors before them they uttely anihilate most of your vanguard

Your brothers cluster around you, worried for the folk of the town, "if undead have attacked these humans then we should help them, they are our friends"

Battle Plan

Have the Necromancers and Liche Priests weave counter spells against the Phobosite clerics, then raising the read, and reanimating the fallen Golden Warriors.
Send chariots to cut off the Paladin retreat, scything them down with a flanking charge.
Call a cloud of locusts to distract the defenders on the wall, allowing for the Golden Army to lend their strength to the siege.

**The Bringer**

Ranun looks at the endless ranks of undead, and then to the knights and paladins of phobos. The prospect of death sends a small shiver down Ranun's spine, but it is soon quenched by the courage he sees in Phobos's servants.

He turns to Marta and then men nearby him, uttering what many of them probably already believed:

"Sir Marta, men of Phobos, we have a great trial before us, but, there is still hope. Phobos sent me here to aid you, and I doubt that she, goddess of light, would have sent me here to be slaughtered by the legions of undead that stand at your doorstep. Take heart, all who fear and doubt, for there is still hope."

He then takes a break, and then finishes, "Death is merely a passing, and an honorable death in battle is as great a gift as life!"

i nod "i'll move in with a small group, the rest of you stay here, if it's clear i'll come and get you, if something happens, i'll signal you"

(iliad) (omg i forgot you had that) The priests begin to cast the counterspells but several are locked mentally in psyckic mental combat and cant continue, fully half your priests and necromancers are immobilised and disabled, the rest fail to cast any counterspells as the Clerics have a huge ward errected created from an artifact and cast a shaft of light onto the field searing the ground and all the bodies there burning them, no undead can be revived, meanwhile the chariots are caughtup in combat with commoners who jump onto thier baskets and force several to crash, however you do wipe out the commoners and their bodies burn also as your warriors set them alight.

The majority of the chariots however are wrecked and useless.

(Ranun) The men of Phobos start up a grim chant that sends shivers down your spine, the single phrase repeated hundreds of times even you can pick it up and add your voice to the prayer, "Phobos the protector, Phobos the destroyer. Phobos the protector, Phobos the destroyer. Phobos the protector, Phobos the destroyer."

The gates open and the Paladins charge, the sounds of combat ensue from the gates but Marta holds you back from the charge, "You will Charge with the knights this day Satyr, you of all can keep up with us now, the armour you wear will aid you in that"

soon the paladins rush back i and the gates slam shut.

On the walls you can see archers raining flaming shot onto the field and then the final omen of victory for you is revealed.

The clouds part and a shaft of pue light beats down upon the field of battle lifting the spirits of all and confirming your victory in your eyes.

The gates open and the charge is sounded, now th knights charge forth, fearless of the pikemen destroyed by the paladins.

(Yanek) The ataani nod, "for the souls of our fathers may you stay safe"

You enter the town and the strangest but most sickening sight you have ever seen meets your eyes, the men and women of the town have been killed, but then placed as if still alive, stakes and spears holding them up, all are pointed towards a pentegram in the centre, clearly of daemonic origin, you and your brothers step back in shock, you realise that the undead wernt meant for you.

A lava red glow springs up in the centre of the pentegram and a swirling red haze erupts, filling the town with a thick red fog that chokes and burns and smells of brimstone. In the centre of the pentegram dark shapes and wicked cackles can be heard

I approch him and ask what he is doing and who is he.

(wow a ask questions first approach, this we havnt seen)
He looks at you coldy, "Are youa part of the town along this road?"

He points first towards the tow ahead, and then to the one behind, "What about that town? the one you came from?"

i pretending to be a salesman for curtains go to the house and knock on the door (but before that i buy curtains)

**Tyranic Marta**

so with some curtains under your arm you knock on the door, a petite darkelf opens the door in a flowing blue dress, shes not your target but she does bear a strong resemblance, a sister perhaps

The lady lets out a coy giggle, and blushes, "No im not good sir, I am however a guest here, and who might you be?"

ok i keep flatering her till she lets me in

eventually after some very suave remarks she lets you in without you even telling her your name, she moves to the kitchen and pours you a glass of deep red wine, however not to be dissuaded she looks pointedly at the curtains under your arm and raises an eyebrow

oh i quicky inform her that i am an interior decorator and i am looking at finalists in a competiotn also a dont drink the wine i just pretend to and dispose of it discreetly

She looks interested and when she turns to look at something outside the window you pour a little into a pot plant

She turns back to you, "Finalists? what for?"

Wow I feel like im reading a book almost. Would like to try and join but it seems most of the stories are converging and wrapping up.
