Slice of life, huh? I recommend Haibane Renmei, Spice and Wolf, and my personal favorite: Great Teacher Onizuka

The economics of Spice and wolf might be tricky to follow during a workout.

I'd recommend it for regular viewing, though.

"No Game No Life" is an anime now? I totally absolutely have to watch it! I only saw bits and pieces in manga form. Definitely has potential and I'd totally tap that princess ;P.

These are good suggestions. Slice of life can be a very broad idea so you get a lot of dramas as well as comedies.

Thanks for the help everyone, I think I'm gonna start with K-On but now I know plenty of animes to get once K-On is done

Oh, and Spice & Wolf is definitely in my "To Watch" list, but you know how it is, there's always too damn stuff in that list...

What are your guys opinions on School Days? Just wondering, as many people say it's good and others say it is the bottom end of anime. I'm wandering what the dakka Otakus think of it.

On the subject of SoL genre anime, I think Golden Time is really good, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu and Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Purezza are really quite entertaing.

GENERATION 10: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

It is the bottom end of the totem pole as far as anime go. So far in fact it is so far in the group, and considering it is a bad VN adaptation to boot.

In short, stay away from School Days as much as you can, because even the Chaos Gods do not dare touch this gak.

Golden Time was a really good anime, I agree. For me, Non Non Biyori is the pinnacle of Slice of Life anime .

Still working through D-Frag, and while Roka is so frigging adorkable, I must acknowledge the glorious genki girl-ness that is Sakura.

Stupidly, against mine and your guys better judgement, I decided to watch School Days and it's OVAs with my friend ... I can quite happily say that I have never been so angry and irritated by a character such as Makoto ever before! He's so ... That said, the ending was very satisfactory!

Now I am just getting started on Koi to Sonkyo to Chocolate, pretty good so far.

This is also true haha As much as I loved claymore the anime, the fact they just dropped it in the middle of the story really bothered me. As far as I know they'll probably never continue it :(

Aaahh, Kill la Kill, I'm happy it continues spreading the joy. God Bless 'Murica, God Bless Satsuki.

So after a very strange and gakky work day, I've managed to already watch 2 eps of K-On! despite I should be saving them for the gym... I now honestly understand why this is so famous. The quantity of moe is off the charts, over 9000, Gi-fething-normous and very funny to boot. I couldn't stop smiling while watching it

I watched on Crunchyroll's free version. SD is more than enough quality I figure. Nothing ever stays still long enough for 'low quality' to be an issue.

I use crunchyroll for... 75% of my viewing. I'll use Hulu if it has something crunch doesn't or gets it sooner, Funimation for the stuff crunch doesn't have (D-Frag!) and another sight for stuff like Familiar of Zero and ovas.

I want to get a subscription for crunchyroll so I don't have to wait a week and can watch on my ps3, but I can't afford it.

And of course DVD's for shows I really, really like.
