I've noticed that the starter sets are getting to be increasing good deals, EX: If you add spiky bits to Dark Vengeance you get 1000+ points of Chaos for $75. Actually makes the hobby seem decently priced.
So what's the next one?

Well the next one won't be for a while that's for sure (until next edition I think) but I do agree that dark vengeance is a good deal.
I like how it was 2 armies that weren't just normal vanilla marines.
Even the dark angels side is a good deal if you trade or sell the chaos side.

I hope next edition they do some cool combo of two alien species I.e tyrannids and daemons or dark elder and tyrannids.

But that wouldn't really provide a benefit of conversations into a single army. But with a hoard army and a shooty army it would provide players the option of splitting 2 boxes with a friend for a possible 1000 points a rulebook for $120 (in canada)

Tyranids were in the 4th ed starter.

They're unlikely to do a starter set that doesn't include Space Marines of some kind.

The starter set will likely always include Marines of one flavor or another, and that's the extent of what we know. Dark Vengeance is a fantastic set and I absolutely adore it, but since the inevitable 7th edition of 40k won't be for quite some time, I wouldn't expect anything. 4th and 5th editions each ran for 4 years, so I'd expect 2016 at the absolute soonest for 7th ed 40k.

Nah, the next one will be marine or marine chapter. It always is marines..... I think it's high time for a IG based starter set!
