So, I run Eldar, and my gunner will have Fast shot, which after some extensive research and a confirmation from my local TO can be used in conjunction with a ADL gun emplacement.

Thus, in a tournament setting, which would be the better choice of these 2 in a larger (1500+ game) battleground:

2 Str 9 AP 2 BS 5 Lascannon shots

or

5 Str 7 AP 4 BS 5 Twinlinked Quadgun shots

my gunner will have Night Vision and targets may not make Jink saves against his hits.

Normally I would consider the quadgun to be the better option, but against heldrakes, which I'm certain there will be some if not multiple lists that run more than one, I feel as though the lascannon has the better chance of knocking it out of the sky. Thoughts?

Icarus. Better AP, higher strength and cheaper.

You're essentially doubling the efficiency of the icarus vs 25% of the quad gun, pretty much hands down for icarus.

Yeah I thought so as well. Plus, no jink save on a flyer will screw over pretty much anything but a heldrake. I think I'll stick with that. I thought about also giving my gunner flakk missiles so he could intercept and shoot at them in the regular shooting phase, but I think that's just mean lol

I play in a very flyer heavy meta and if you don't bring a lot of anti air here you just get run over.

I run a quad gun on ADL and take the Imp guard allies for the flak guns and saber batteries.

I fought a guy that brought 6 vendettas and 4 of those sky lift things.

FoR is a little expensive point wise isn't it? Also, I don't own one...

Not cover, just Jink (Reaper Exarch).

If you are able to beef up the icarus even with just BS5, its usually better option than the quad. That one shot will wreck more than the quad, but it isnt twinlinked so most people avoid it. You are doing something better than twinlinked, an extra shot AND bs5. The odds of you landing both shots are very good and doubling the icarus power.
