As part of a Diorama that I am working on I've been required to make up some battlefield debris to use as a barricade. I ended up ordering about 16 barrels and 8 ammo crates from forgeworld and some razorwire from a different dealer on amazon the build up a ramshackle barricade. I didnt want the barrels to look overly pristine since it isnt a GrimDark so I experimented with weathering pigments on the barrels to age and batter them. This is the first time I've tried "aging" metal with rust/soot and I'm quite happy with the results, however always looking for feedback and critisisms to improve what I can do.

Without further ado here is the result on the first 4 barrels/gun position.

Thanks for looking.

Those are very cool. The onky thing I can think of is that the rust patches are a bit uniform. Maybe just a light stippling of a bright orange to mark uneven corrosion?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Should look fine on the table. Up close I agree with Flinty, but on the table it should be great.
