I was just wondering which was better and I feel Eldar is better because they have had a new codex recently and I like their battle focus rule. What do you think?

Competitively? Yeah craftworld all the way.

Well from a competitive standpoint until DE get a codex update they wont be as good as Eldar. Seems like a fairly obvious point to be honest.
Fluff wise I prefer DE though.

Personally I find CWE to be leftwing socialist nutjobs. DE seem to have taken Ayn Rand's lessons on rational personal responsibility to heart.

Really..? I like the Eldar better though I have no preference for Craftworld vs. Exodites. The Dark Eldar have a great back story and the newer models are sweet. The models are always the best place to start. You'll be staring at those models for some time to come.

Eldar just because of the new codex but dark elder for the fluff. But still personally I like the dark elder.

Sadly eldar are much, much better than dark eldar at this point.

DE took 6th ed's rulebook to the nuts, and not the Dark Vengeance one either...

They can still wreck face, but they need skill and luck to use well.

I haven't even glanced at the CWE book but unless DE's not the king of offense anymore I'd say CWE is probably more competitive.

DE build diversity basically went down the toilet in 6th. A lot of our CC either isn't as mobile or gets chewed up by overwatch, or both COUGHCOUGHCOUGHWYCHESHUAAAAAAGH

Raiders can now be glanced to death which makes them quite a bit easier to kill although jink allows you to save points on Flickerfields.

The competitive standard of 'all shooting and triple Ravagers with some Wyches maybe' is still the best although the Webway army was literally destroyed by 6th edition and the Wych Raider rush armies just don't work anymore.

Now in terms of enjoyable playstyles and overall aesthetic, it's aaaaaaaaall Dark Eldar.

DE models might be the best line in the game... Eldar rules are better for now... I'd get DE if I had to spend $500 on one of the two tomorrow.

Depends on what you are talking about. Competitively? Eldar win between the two. Fluffwise and model wise? Subjective. Personally I prefer DE in both of these cases.

Eldar have much stronger potential list building wise.
They are also better morally (well that is subjective).
