Hey guys, been reading some interesting threads that mention the Bellstar and I wanted to thoughts on how to run it and what support units suit it best.

I want to run 2000-2500 points and was thinking the following:

Seer w/Bell (duh)
Fencers blades since he will be in CC
Skalm

Chief w/BSB (equipped for survival, need thoughts on the best build)

Assassin weeping blades?

Assassin blade of corruption?

Do these guys need Pot of STR as well??

40 Stormvermin (or should I go 60 and pull horde formation?)
Full Command
Razor Standard

Then I want to shove the following in

Doomwheel

WLC

HPA

Big block of 80 slaves or 2x 40's for the flanks of the bell

I am thinking some Rat Darts and Gutter Runners, but other than that am pretty open, I just don't like Plague monks (and don't have the models).

Thanks in advance

Honestly i'm trying to think of using rat ogres and stormvermin or possibly nearby plague censers of all things. I figure the plus one attack result and other similar buffs would really help an above average force of guys and boost them to be that much stronger.

I mean rat ogres with 5 attacks each in the front rank after frenzy? Ouch! If you add skweel and his poisoned, regeneration or extra attacks to this already then it gets even more ridiculous. Figure having 5 strength 5 poisoned attacks or all that with regeneration 4+ or actually 6 strength 5 attacks per rat ogre. I think at that point the enemy would just give you the middle finger and walk away.

Stormvermin themselves are not slouches with such high initiative and decent WS and strength.

The best part is the bell buffs everything in a certain range with it's buff bubble so every unit can use it.

Plague censers with more attacks would be nice.

Honestly surprised people don't use a lot of rat ogres with the bell considering the boosted strength 5 attacks esp. if you throw down skweel with them.

The best way to keep the seer alive is to deploy really wide.
Since you maximize models base to base, going wide can force opponents to charge very off center, only able to put the very outside corner in contact.

WS10 T4 and 6+/4++ only goes so far.
Going from 100mm of fontage to only corner to corner is a huge increase in survivability.
