Lascannons.
And plasma, DA can take alot of that.
Oh and melta and poison.

Ignore it, seriously ignore it, its pretty durable, but for its cost it doesn't deal a lot of damage without pathfinders.

What you should do is first kill his pathfinders, than his crisis suits, which are much less durable and deal a significant amount of damage for their cost.

That being said, if he is stupid enough to let terminators get close enough to powerfist it to death, by all means, beat the snot out of it.

How you deal with any Tau army:

Kill his Pathfinders and his Troops. Then, when he can't win, use any other shooting you have to burn down the rest of his army.

Its a monstrous creature, So take a unit of scouts with sniper rifles and camo cloaks, and put them in a ruin.

Tau ignore cover.

Focus fire the riptide down with lascannons. This will force him to play defensive with his nova charge which might score some extra wounds. Do not ignore it, riptides are mobile lynch pins in many Tau lists that can be unreal weapons platforms until end game. Don't let Tau build momentum. Try to chase it down with bikes while you focus on closing the distance with his main lines.

Ally in some GK, and take a Vindicare assain. Faling that burry the damned thing in las cannon and plasma fire.
Or just wipe his pathfinders out as soon as possible,.
