Hullo dakka.
I Decided to ad the new lord Executioner to my ever groving BA allies.
Despite the lack of BA iconogragphy I thinkt this work quite well.

A simple head swap gave it a distinct look, and Im obviously thinking of using it as an Astorath count as,
and he turned out pretty grim.
(to be fair, the resemblence to Astorath was pointed out by many people when the original model was little more than a leaked pic).
Yay for longhaired marines!

C and C is always wellcome.
Anyway, here he is.

Truly wonderful effort! I'm curious as to where the head is from?

Looks wicked, the head works really well where is it from?

The only things I would suggest would maybe inject a bit of colour into the axe blade, should make the whole thing pop a little more, and paint the vents on the jump pack. And the base could do with a little more contrast, a wash and drybrush should do it. Maybe change the rim colour to a different colour than the actual base colour to help define it a bit more, I personally like to paint the rims of my bases in black, it almost 'frames' the mini.

Good work none the less!

I think the new head gives it a great bafeel. I did a da version but without the new model at all. Used robes wings and a 2 Han scythe.

Thanks for the comments!

The head belong to the crew of the High Elfs Eagle Chariot,
I hope that knowledge dont ruin the model for you, outing him as a sissy and all

Thanks again for the kind comments!

Looks fanatic, simple head swap makes but really helps the model.

Just one question, why'd you want to use a counts as for Astorath? Fantastic model!

He looks a TON like the art of Rafen from the blood angels books. I'll be stealing that idea :-)

He must be one of those new sparkly vampires, rather then the old rip your throat out kind. But the head really does make the conversion to BA stand out. Without it, he'd just be a run of the mill, shaved headed, captain, painted red. But that one simple head swap changes the nature of the model.

Well done.

I thought the same exact thing! James Swallow really needs to write the next BA book. Rafen better be a Captain for all the thing's he has done for the chapter.

I have no idea what I'm doing...

Is this from the omnibus's? Are they worth a read?

Great looking model. There was a box of Sanguinary calling my name earlier this evening at the shop. I wonder how they would feel about joining the Black Legion? Great model.
