Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Yay? A guy could be found out to have a half dozen bodies hanging on meathooks in his basement, but hey he also gave a load of money to charity this year, so he's not that much of a bad guy really. That's an exaggeration of Zimmerman's crime, but I'd hardly say that one good deed somehow wipes the slate of a person's other acts.

Defending himself from getting his head slammed into a sidewalk? This subject has been done to death I think and everyone's mind is pretty well made up either way.

Hmn, oh I wasn't inferring any fault on his part. I was trying to make the point that a lot of people don't agree with the verdict and that an article like this is just going to them off.
Oh, but I don't really agree with the extent of his response, but then again I don't live in a country where guns are carried for self defense. Where a deadly weapon is used commonly the cases of people being killed by them become less questionable. In the UK should someone be killed in "self defense" there would be a whole other type of fiasco (excluding the race issue)...
Though is it necessary that we have another Zimmerman thread?
You're worried about people's feelings on a guy for being a "murderer" when suddenly he shows that he isn't a POS person and helps rescue a family? Damn, your morals are fudged
I think that my first statement inferred that a person can go out and do something good for society, but that doesn't make their past actions moot. My point was that those that consider him to be guilty would find that an article saying this would be rubbed the wrong way quite a bit. Oh hey the guy that killed my son just saved some people, guess I'll forgive him for killing my son...

I think you might have something there. I read a few comments sections to this article from different sources and there are some people saying the accident was either staged or caused by Zimmerman in order to make himself look good. Pretty sad, really.

You do have a point; on the other hand, John Wayne Gacy was quite the decorated citizen, so maybe we shouldn't try to solve any sort of calculus in order to determine what colour of 1950s cowboy hat he's wearing?

This thread is either going to shortly die the death or become comedy gold.

As soon as he has other acts I'm sure that will be an issue.

Ok, so one murder is solved by saving a few people? The law may not have said that he did it with evil intent, but he did kill someone. Though I do again concede the point that I don't come from a culture where that kind of thing is so socially acceptable.

Why are you inferring murder in Zimmerman's case. He's been found not guilty.

Killing someone doesn't automatically make you a murderer in the same way that having sex with someone doesn't automatically make you a rapist.

Then stop using the word "murder" when discussing this whole thing.
"Murder" is a term used to describe an 'unlawful killing with malice aforethought'.
Use the term "Involuntary Manslaughterer", as there was (from the evidence) no malice nor intent to kill.
Florida authorities have delivered all evidence related to the George Zimmerman investigation to federal officials, who are weighing whether to pursue a civil rights case.

Obama really wants to see this guy lynched to appease the mobs. I predicted that they were going to go to lengths to get this guy that other, similar cases don't see.
I believe you should judge a man by his deeds. So let's look at George's deeds. Fought against corruption in his local PD, fought for the rights of a homeless man when no one else would, respected community member liked by all, defended himself as a last resort in one gakky situation, helped save a family of four from burning to death. Yeah. Damn. What a feth head amirite?

Except he never murdered anyone

There was also an incedent in his neighborhood where a black, single parent, had her home broken into. Martin gave her his house keys and said that she could use his place any time if she didn't feel safe in her home.
