im a fan of starcraft and wondering which one should i collect for competitiveness although spe are strong jy2's hive fleet pandara army is very strong

Dark angels are strong, though their flyer defence is lacking.

Really, the most important thing is which do you think you would enjoy playing the most? Which has the models you like? Do you like playing the "good guys" or the "bad guys"?

Tyranids can be very good but can also be a challenge to play. DA, well, I don't have much experience with them but I think they can be fun to play also if you like MEQ armies.

Both can be competitive and both have won GT's before here in the US. I believe DA won once with a Ravenwing build whereas tyranids have won a couple of times (though in all fairness, nids have been out longer).

are you looking for a one-click army (otherwise known as competitive) or are you looking to have fun? Do you want a shooting army or one that does shooting ok and nasty assaults with monstrous creatures? and what does Starcraft have to do with anything?

In other words, actually specify what you want to do. just throwing out other people's armies is not a basis for advice.

thx guys yes solo i do like a one click army but i also like monstrous creatures and shooting. the reason why starcraft has anything to do with this is zergs and terran are very similar to tyranids and meq. and jy2 as you know im a fan of your tyranids and im also a beginner struggling to pick what army i want for quite a long time and i dont want to waste my money on something i dont like. although tyranids are very expensive i love their models and for Dark angels their models are quite cheap since i could get it from dark vengence

That's as good a reason as any to start a faction. You'll spend hours looking at these models while you assemble them, paint them, then admire them. Might as well pick a faction you think looks good. Also Zerg are SC2 Master Race, so it's win-win
