So I got typhus and a squad of plague marines!

But they're resin...

Apparently I'm supposed to wash them or something? And what's a good glue to use?
Please help

Wash in warm (not hot) soapy water & glue with superglue.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Yep wash them as above. Dry fit everything to make sure it fits smoothly. If it doesn't, you can immerse the items in hot water, then carefully bend them into the correct shape before immersing them in cold water. Then dry fit again to make sure it's good, if not repeat.

Then you can assemble to the stage where further assembly will cause problems with painting. Any superglue will work, there was a thread here discussing the differences. Some prefer cheapies (which do work fine), others prefer brand names, gels, brush applied etc.

Are the models resin or finecast? You don't need to wash finecast.

[WARNING: Heavily implied SARCASM With finecast you can bypass the washing stage and throw them straight into the bin.

Or cut out the middleman and just flush some money down the toilet. [end sarcasm]

Mild dishsoap and a gentle brush (nailbrush, child toothbrush, that sort of thing) and some warm (not hot) water. If you can't keep your hand in it without burns, it's TOO HOT.

I wouldn't ignore washing on finecast. Better save than sorry, especially considering the money invested.

And considering all the needed air bubble filling the washing will at least clean them from the sweat handling all those bitz during correcting all the casting errors.

From what I heard some of the new finecasts have something on then that needs to be washed off [in cold water] or the paint won't stick to the mini. I did that to my belial and it's completatly fine.

Sorry did you miss the little Aussie flag and the heavily implied SARCASM?

I shall have to make it even more bleedingly obvious next time.

Give it a good wash so you can better see where the bubbles are. Otherwise they might pop while painting. Happened to me. I thought the Aussie was quite funny. My wife had a good laugh, as well.

Cheers Chromedog, that lil quote totally made my night.

For the Lion and Terra!

Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.

With finecast you can bypass the washing stage and throw them straight into the bin.

Or cut out the middleman and just flush some money down the toilet.

Please no arguing. The initial comment was good for a laugh, and the picture was certainly lulz worthy,

Back on topic, I agree that washing IS neccesary as my paint refused to adhere to typhus.

And thank you all for your thoughts may you all roll many 's...

Except against me and and on leadership tests

Edit: also I know the movie and am joining the marines....

No real reason to inform you...other than my excitement

The "fun" back and forth was not appreciated by the TC, who you should be helping if you are posting in this thread. There is also a line between "fun" and over the top which is easy to cross and I highly suspect you all did, even only seeing the edited versions. Accept it and stick on topic if you have anything else to add, or move on.
