Subject: Comming back to fantasy, Starting Lizardmen!

So about 2 or 3 years ago I was thinking of starting Lizardmen for Warhammer Fantasy but before I could do so my gaming group quit playing fantasy and started playing 40k instead, And now we are slowly starting to come back to fantasy so I desided to start Lizardmen now. And today I bought a Stegadon, Slann, Skink standardbearer, Skink priest on cold one, two salamanders with handlers, lots of skinks and lots of sauruses for 23 USD. They are all realy friggin old models, Rather ugly (The slann is the one carried by 4 temple guard models) but since they where so cheep, I thought they would be a cheep way to atleast get started with a lizardmen army. Realy looking forwards to the new army book ^_^

Yeah, I'd wait until the new book before buying anything else, or writing a new list, since there's no way of knowing what'll be good and what'll be bad.

Oh oh oh! Are there any Warhammer Fantasy novels that have lizardmen? I know of two, Gotrek and Felix Giantslayer and Temple of the Serpent. Are there any others?

Hold out on anything else. Lizardmen are up next with some great looking dinosaurs..I think August release date.
Good timing to start the reptiles.

While the state of the new book is unknown, the stuff you got will most likely still be useful. And old models are always cool.
A Slann will almost certainly still be a staple, as will Skinks and Saurus. A properly magnetized Stegadon would also most likely still be a useful thing to have.
The basics rarely change from army book to army book. Its the other stuff that is more iffy, or an army thats been built to an extreme(such as an all Skink army) that can suffer when a new book is released.
What you have should be fine no matter what happens. And you can't argue with the price. Leaves more money for the new shiny

I sat up last night untill the book and models came up on advance order so I could see the new models before going to bed.. XD I like them all! Well, Almost all of them.. Dont realy like how Gor-Rok looks, But it might be the color scheme. As for getting the new White Dwarf, I'l have to wait about a week or so before it comes out in stores over here.. But I will get the book once it comes out! ^_^
