I want to give my CSM's a land raider but don't want a regular looking one. I don't like the idea of a SM land raider with some spikey parts on it. I want something different.

Any ideas.

i wouldn't call it a land raider but it does have a very thundercats feel to it.

There are a number of ways to convert imperial vehicles to chaos without using an over abundance of spikes.

Firstly, what chapter/legion of chaos marines are you playing? It can make a huge difference depending on the theme of your army as to how to go about it.

I don't like the Chaos Land Raider (or any Chaos vehicle, really), so I am defacing a Loyalist one somewhat. It depends on how "Chaotic" you want yours to appear.

With Chaos, there are many routes you could take. You could greenstuff some sinewy flesh over the hard angles on the sides/weapons, or you could cover it in daemon faces, give it tentacles or teeth, or just hang tons of skulls from it. You could simply replace all of the Loyalist icons (Aquilas and so on) with Marks of Chaos, or you could turn the entire top of the vehicle into one big Chaos Shrine. You could crudely scratch a huge Mark of Khorne into the sides, or put vertebrae along the top. Many things!

Here's what I have so far.
I am replacing the Heavy Bolter with the Autocannons from the Defiler. They would still fire the HB profile but these look a little bit better.
Second I put a combi bolter on the top and modified the guy so he's swinging his sword around.
Lastly I was thinking of putting 2 fenders on the vehicle and strapping 2 dead space marines to them or just one on the hatch.

Not much but all of the mods are solid
