I recently bought a box of wolf guard terminators. I'm not sure exactly what to equip them with so I'm holding off on building them for now. I'm just wondering how everyone else outfits them. I don't want to make them and then tear them apart when I realize the way I made them wasn't very good. Any help would be great. Thanks

I always used mine as lone wolves or as single leaders to tank wounds for other squads.

It's great they can get a drop pod but the crazy prices they pay for some of the loadouts always turned me off using them.

I have some success with a wolf Guard Terminator with a Storm Shield and Heavy Flamer on one, 2 with Chain Fist and Storm Bolter, and 2 with Wolf Claws coming out of a Drop Pod, the unit is 285 points and I run 2 squads, their is a third drop pod with a Dreadnought that comes in later so the wolf guard have some support.

I have seen players run an all thunder Hammer & Stormshield unit with great success, or the infamous Chain Fist & Wolf Claw so that they can tear into vehicles or troops equally well, but like someone else said that gets expensive fast.

I have started going with Wolf Claw/Chain Fist recently, give me the option pf I4 and I1.
One of my better combos has been an Assualt Cannon and a Power Maul. It has done wonders in melee even ves MEQs.
I have also been using a full 10 man as a Bodyguard for Njal.
8x Wolf Guard in Teninator with varios Power Weapons and 2 with Power Weapons and a pair of Cyclones. It come in at 390 points, 400 with one Frost Blade.

I keep mine pretty bare and use them to bodyguard stuff like drop pod rune priest. My favorite is like said earlier combiplas and power axes. Unfortunately you said you just got a box so I don't know how your bits box looks but it only comes with one axe in the kit. One of the power fists is open enough that the loose axe without arm that is in there can be fixed into it pretty easily. At the same time I do highly reccomend magnetizing them so you get the most milage you can out of those models rather than having to buy tons of boxes. I've only ever ran 2 or 3 lists without any tda wolfguard.

I keep them cheap, because SW even though its very fluffy to have hammers, SW cannot cost effectively run TH/SS termis. I agree with previous posters either PW combi bolter or just PW SB with the special weapon as a nice cheap 2+ save beatstick squad

Opinions are like donkey-caves, everyone has them and they all stink.
