So I have around 2100 points of eldar and i'm going get 3000 of eldar then change army. What army should I be? I want to be Grey Knights because they are super OP and they have epic models. Also they would make a good ally for my eldar because the Autarch that I have is gonna have the reserves thing and that will help get my GK Terminators into battle. Do you think I should be GK, stay with eldar until I get 5000 points or be another army?

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

If your Eldar army is fully painted then pick another army that you like the look of.

If it is just 3000 points of grey plastic, paint it, then get another army

Thanks for that because about 1/3 of my army is painted

One problem with Eldar is the amount of ways to play them:
Footdar,
Mechdar,
Elfzilla,
Jetbikes,
Wraiths,
Aspect-only
etc.
Collecting Eldar takes a long time.

But, getting into allies is always good, if only to practice painting and tactics.
I expect I'll ally with IG to get infantry blobs and heavy tanks. Mostly only so I can paint up a 'mucky' army to go with my pristine Eldar.
GK works too though, as they're far tougher than Eldar, and their style of play is very different.

Well, if your primary motivation is that GK is 'OP' then you will be sorely disappointed. The Newdar codex is far, far stronger than the GK one.
The models are awesome though.

It seems that my personal flaw is that I see something new and shinny and want it. I wish I was more of the build army to my playing style and stick with it. The great thing about this hobby is it is your money and if you want to build 5k in eldar and do grey knights do it. Like another post said gk is on a decline and not the power house it was in 5th. So, don't buy just for that reason cause you will be a sad panda. Enjoy your eldar they have a lot to offer.

I agree with ImotekhTheStormlord, Grey knights were good 2 years ago because they were these new shiny things that people weren't used to fighting. Since the GK release, half of the 40k codices have since been updated and are on par or more powerful then GKs.

Most eldar and tau lists these days would very much enjoy decimating a low model count draigowing army.

By all means get GKs if you enjoy their fluff and like the models.
However, you were warned that they will fall short of your expectations if you buy them expecting to effortlessly win.

I see we're in the same boat, Sir.
It's just that I have 2650 and when I get everything else I need It'll be around 3k points.
I also have much to paint.

I play a fast moving army (Skimmers, Warp Spiders, Jetseer with a Mantle, occasionally Hellions). I'd like my second army playstyle resemble a "castle".
That is Aegis Defense Line and a static firing line. An army that has that kind of playstyle and is new/strong AND can make good alliance with my first army is Tau.
I have my eyes set on them. But there are other armies (IG, DA etc.) and before I end painting Eldar (that will probably take some time) a new dex, that will fulfill my requirements, could possibly come to life.

I would choose an army that can be battle brothers to Eldar like Dark Eldar or Tau. Then 3k becomes much more and you can field an entire side of an Apocalypse game.

I play:
40K: Daemons, Tau
AoS: Blades of Khorne, Disciples of Tzeentch
Warmachine: Convergence of Cyriss
Infinity: Haqqislam, Tohaa
Malifaux: Bayou
Star Wars Legion: Republic & Separatists
MESBG: Far Harad, Misty Mountains
