So looking for opinions on the list. Please do not post on here if you hate IA, that is a debate for another forum.
The local store is running a tourney where you can bring 0-1 units of IA stamped 40k or Adepticon approvede, you have to have the udated FAQ in hand AND the most recent IA book that has the ruled for the thing you want to play - which I think is VERY fair.
Now onto the list...

HQ
Farseer on bike with spear x 2

Warlock - on bike with spear

Troops
Jetbikes 6 man with 2 shuricannons

Jetbike 3 man x 3 (3 units of 3 man) no upgrades

Fast Attack
Crimson Hunter x 2

Hornet Squadron of 3 - each with Holo-fields and each with 2 Pulse Lasers

Heavy Support
Wraithknight - double D

Wraithknight - Suncannon and scatterlaser with shield

Plan is to have the 3 units of bikes in reserve to late game take or contest objectives. Wraithknights on either flank of the big jetbike squad with seers and hornets behind. With guide and prescience it should help me shoot most anything and have high S dakka too...
Thought about an autarch for some punch and to help with reserves, but I think the extra farseer will do more for my army than the autarch so left him out...
Cheers and thanks for looking.

I think I would argue that the Autarch would be a better choice because of the tactics that you wish to employ. Keeping those bikes off the table and also getting the Hunters to come on at the right time. Also, I've had good success with a Mantled Farseer, although this would change your tactics around so probably not an option.

Otherwise I like the list and personally love Hornets. However, at 160 pts each it's a pretty big investment. Perhaps losing the holo-fields to add some Spiders might add an extra dimension to the force? Idk, just a thought. Dual pulse lasers is just mean though

Yeah I keep debating on the autarch - I see your point with the ability to affect the hunters and bikes would be good and mantled even better another thing to have people have to deal with....
I want fortune on the bike squad and guide and prescience, could deal with a couple less guide and prescience I guess.....
I have tried the hornets without holos - I seem to lose them more easily - go figure right... I miss the old edition holo fields and the old vehicle rules - you could not kill those things with holo-fields, but alass the new edition has leveled the playing field on vehicles...
Thanks for the post cheers.

I think the farseer and the autrach are both viable options, whatever has worked out better for you I would say. Hornets are expensive, but amazing, if you just keep them in a ruin or behind cover or something they should do fine. Seems like a pretty competitive list to me.

I do drugs.
Mostly Plastic Crack, but I do dabble in Cardboard Cocaine.

12x bs4 s8 ap2 shots at one target is a lot...

One more vote for an autarch. Bad reserve rolls can, and will screw you over with 5 units in reserve.
If you stay with 2 farseers I would try and get the 6th divination power that influences reserves.

Last option would be a comms relay but then you end up with a useful fortification without units to take advantage of it.
You could leave both wraithknights stock and ditch the warlock and holofiled(s) to get a relay with a unit of snipers/guardians/support battery.

I play 2 farseers myself, but to me it looks like you've got more powers than units to buff.

I have had 2 practice games with this very list. I have won both games, but were hard fought.
My first game was against a Dark Eldar Player - Had KP and scouring on that one and he got the 4pt, 3pt and 2pt, so I had to go to him. By the end I had a 2 pointer, a 3 pointer, he had a 3 and a 2 and his big unit with Barron and surfboard dudes had the 4 pointer, but I was contesting with my Wraithknight with suncannon and I had a ton more kill points so won with that.
The second game was Emperors will and 4 objectives - the two home objectives we made 3 vp and the other 4 were 1 point each - I was playing against IG - 2 vendettas, aegis quad, ratlings manning, CCS with 4 plasma chimera, 4 veteran squads - 2 plama in 2 and 2 melta in 2 and all had demo charges, FA - I think it was a hellhound (multimelta and melta cannon) and then a manticore with camo netting.
This one was a blood bath - I took out his CCS chimera with my hornets, blew it up, 2 seers and jetbikes (6 man) turbo boosted up to CCS to block him or another chimera from advancing forward, took out hellhound turn 1 for 1st blood. Second turn I went second that darn quad gun took 2 hull points off one of my crimson hunters and took off a brightlance (it was hammer and anvil so I was hoping I was just out of reach of the guns but was not with one. He also had a stormtrooper 10 man jump squad with 2 plasma guns and hot shot lasguns - they can in on turn 3 shot one of my 3 man bike squads to death - I though I would be cool and use the two remaining squads to take out the stormtroopers in my back squad - I did crappy shooting and he did amazing saves - I then proceeded to assault thinking 'they are just guard' I have a lot more respect for them now with 2 attacks base each guy and sergeant having 3 they proceeded to win combat and I broke and ran off the board - I was now down to 1 scoring unit, he had taken out my Hornets with one concentrated round of shooting. I assaulted a squad of veterans with my wraithknight double -D and did not realize they had melta bombs - luckily he only did 4 wounds - I killed more with hammer of wrath and attacks and he luckily ran and was cut down. My suncannon wraithknight took out the ratlings and then the manticore while my farseers and bike squad took out 2 more vetsquads. I lost my crimson hunter with full wounds to a vendetta but then my one hull point brightlance missing crimson hunter proceeded to blow the vendetta up the next turn, man I like vector dancer! My suncannon wraith manned the enemies quad gun and took out the last vendetta. who failed on rentry to kill my crimson hunter with a bad roll...

I really have fun with the list, but it is really elite, but it is my one chance to play IA stuff as the local game store does not tend to allow it...... I am still torn, but I think this tourney may be tough with it, but fun...

I'd go 1 farseer on bike and 1 autarch on bike with the Mantle of the Laughing God, laser lance and fusion gun.

Thanks JY2.. I keep debating on the autarch with Mantle vs 2 seers... the thing that hangs me up about it is that I really want fortune and many times I do not get it with one seer.... I know cry me a river right... lol but thank you for the advice I am HIGHLY considering it... Thanks for reading.

Fortune, while useful, works better with a Deathstar-type list, of which this is not. To me, I don't think the "payout" is worth the price of 2 farseers, not when the autarch is such a great disruption unit and reserves force-multiplier as well. But that's just me.

You can always try out both builds and see which you like better.

Yeah I used to run deathstar units like farseers 2 and warlocks in 5th and 6th prior to the new dex, but now with scoring being so important in 6th and the jetbikes getting better WS and BS and I5 I usually just go with a squad of those.....
I agree he would be a great disruption unit.... and one that they would have to pay attention to.
