Hi there,
So, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to attach boltguns to CSM backpacks in a way similar to the Aspiring Champion model. The current army I'm building has 40 CSM with boltguns and CCWs in it, and I don't want all of them to have a chainsword in one hand and a boltgun in the other.

Well you probably have to file down on side of the bolter as well as carving a bit of room on the backpack. Glue it on, fill eventuall gaps with GS and attach a modellers chain around it. (or sculpt some other way of attachment like tentacles)

It could also just attach by magnets and you don't need a strap. Though tentacles sounds like fun.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Great, thanks guys. I've never magnetised my models before so I will probably go for the GS technique. I like the tentacles idea, but they are NL so no mutations

Well then add some kind of clasp in the shape of a batwing.
Or like i said a chain, either from a small modelers chain, sculpted or a GW bit cut and bent into position.
Also just a leather pouch/strap could look good.
Or use a skelettal/zombie hand holding it in place.

i doubt he means actually magnetizing the bolter. In the fluff marines "magnet" their bolters to their backs, legs, backpacks when not needed. so you dont NEED to put something holding it on.

Yep. That's what I was talking about.

Alright. Thanks for the clarification.
I might give both a try and see what I like better.

@ Btldoomhammer: I'll probably go for the chains, even though a skeleton arm would look cool, too. I don't think I'll use batwings though because I think they look a bit OTT on CSM, even on NL. I don't use then for their helmets either.
