Sounds like you want Lascannons.
In terms of cheapest Lascannon per point cost, it goes
MSU Havoc squad
LC Predator
Oblits

flyers and landraider from a distance. lascannons, probably on Havocs. You can give them MoN

if you want competitive then you probably want Obliterators with MoN, they are much better at taking down landraiders but they need to be close. They are also far more competitive.

If you want to take down flyers, autocannon havocs are slightly better at taking on low AV flyers

preditors are better if you already have lots of other armor.

I'm always switching back and forth between Autocannon Havocs and MoN Obliterators.

Havocs are more point efficient and, generally speaking, have longer range.

Obliterators are far more durable and versatile, but are much more expensive and have to move up the board to be most effective.

I don't know, 3 Lascannons on an AV13 platform for 140 doesn't seem all too bad in my opinion.

It's not. Although the oblits can fire more on the move, but the pred can fire 3 LCs every turn.

And if you're hurting for points, the AC/LC Predator makes a fine replacement.
Compared to Havocs, you trade three autocannons for two lascannons.

I always viewed the AC/LC pred as more of a transport killer. It just doesn't carry the punch of triple las version.

Honestly I'm gonna have to say Oblits. Pretty versatile for the most part. can take on infantry, vehicles, anything you need it to. With deepstriking in case you need it somewhere important right away.

Nurgle oblits no doubt is king, but they are pretty expensive for point wise, if i have 2-3 heldrakes + 2-3 trilas preds + a unit of oblits im pretty much solid for taking anything down

Lascannon havocs are the best, putting out the most firepower and being the cheapest. Obliterators aren't bad either, but what makes them shine is all the rest of the stuff they have other than just the lascannons.

Also, don't forget land raiders. They still have two twin-linked lascannons, which isn't bad, and they're still 4HP of AV14 which is far from flimsy. And they keep a squad safe in them as well. And they have all sort of strategic usefulnesses as well.

If fact, I think I just might put them higher than obliterators for your purposes here. 3 obliterators cost nearly the same as a land raider, and put down roughly the same number of lascannon hits. But differently.

Land Raider vs triple Oblits is an interesting comparison.

I'm fond of the Spartan and it's quad twin linked lascannon shots. For only 45 pts more than a regular land raider.

Havocs with flakk and Obliterators sound like what you are looking for.

I don't know if you mentioned it but an ADL with quad gun is a solid start.

I prefer the bastion for Chaos. You can stick some AC Havocs on top with a quad gun and hide Cultists below for an objective grab.

Chaos doesn't make the best gunline.. They really aren't very effective penned in behind a line.
