Regarding the shooting of the fire prism, this is how it works.
First of all, I don't have my codex with me so I will based on 2 situations:
1. If the blast is a barrage, then you follow the rules for barrage (i.e. cover determined from the center of the blast marker).
2. If it is just a normal blast, then cover is determined on a model-by-model basis from the closest model to the unit itself (the prism). It doesn't matter which way the gun is pointing, as it is a turret with a 360-arc. Thus, for example, you can be pointing at a model in the open but if the closest model in the unit is actually behind some ruins, then the first wound would be allocated on the model behind the ruins, not matter who the gun is pointing at.

I spent half this batrep just laughing at those AB proxies. Nothing wrong with proxies, of course, but for some reason those just made me laugh hard. Probably better than the Chimera hulls I used for ABs in a test game recently (I have a friend who has somehow never played against Wraithwing)
