Hi,

I was hoping someone out there in Dakkaland could help with an issue i am experiencing.
I went to use my Vallejo Game Colour "Dark Green" this morning and found that no matter how much I shook the bottle it would come out at the consistency one would expect from an ink.
This bottle already had an agitator in it which wasn't doing a thing to solve the problem.

I pulled the top off and decided to try and stir it back into a normal consistency with a tooth pick and found that on the bottom of the bottle the paint pigments had solidified into a big rubbery ball that wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
I am now checking every bottle I have and so far I have found "Moon Yellow" is the same.

If anyone knows -

Why is this affecting some colours and not others?
What is the desired storage environment/Temperature for Vallejo Game Colour? - ( Not sure if i missed it but I couldn't find this listed here - http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/en_US/model-paints/faqs/3 )
In case I decide to try another line does anyone out there know if this is unique to Vallejo or does this affect other paint lines such as say Reaper?

Please help Dakkapeeps!

Happens to a lot of paint lines. Vallejo do settle pretty bad though. Just keep on shaking it. For a long time.
Agitators can help; are you sure it's not reacting with the paint though?

hhhmmm maybe, I used really small lead sinkers not sure if that's a bad choice? even so if it is the agitator causing this I'm not sure why it has only reacted with a minority of my colours.

I have the day off today, might have a crack at shaking the worst bottle "Dark Green" as often as I can.

I bought a $2 milk frother from ebay, which with a couple snips turned out to be excellent for quickly stirring the odd troublesome paint, such as my vallejo moon yellow. Certain paints are more prone to it than others so if you haven't used that particular one for a while you'll want to give it a solid stir, others are fine just with a good shake (which I use a modified electric knife for too ; p).
