The recently released Mr Dandy xenos Aegis defence lines arrived after some delays, and they were very much worth the wait. The bits are very nicely detailed, very crisp and look even better than the initial images shown during the pre order. The resin seems very high quality compared to... others... that we are forced to work with. The bridging seems intelligently done, and the mould lines are in good places too from what I could see. Since I run 3 armies, loyalist guard, traitor guard/CSM, and Necrons, I picked up the chaos and necron... "Dark Ancient" and "Star Pharoah" I mean ; ) They both match the armies excellently, far better than the GW Imperium one does. I can happily recommend these ones based on the quality of them and how well the design matched what they'd be used for. They were also very reasonably priced, and Dandy communicated well throughout the pre-order process so despite the delays, we knew what was going on. There shouldn't be any delays for new orders as he's all set to go now.

I took some quick pics of how they arrived, what bridging and flash you can expect on them and the quality of the final sculpts, and setup/scale compared to some CSM. Below are some cropped and resized images, there are higher res images here to get a better idea of the finer details and so on, those images are 2-3 meg each.

Chaos
Spoiler:

Each wall arrives in 2 bags.

The contents of both bags laid out together.

A shot of the quickly setup walls and some CSM. There is still some guff on the bottom of the walls so I put some foam on the ground to make the CSM almost up to the right height. Gun is blu-tacced together and whilst some of the stuff has been cleaned up, a lot of it hasn't, and it hasn't been washed.

A close up shot.

Necron
Spoiler:

The wall coming in two bags.

The chaos ones look a bit silly but the necrons looks good.

Thankfully the mould lines are in good spots so the flash is really easy to remove and with no loss of detail. Nothing worse than bridges on small pieces and mould lines over power cables ; p

I'm happy with the Chaos one, a nice blend of tech and daemon stuff. Not just "add skulls", but personal preference ofc. The only design I don't like too much is the Eldar one - but I don't like the Eldar design in general. Really like the Necron one though, definitely my favourite ; )

Sadly they're behind a lot of stuff int he painting queue. At least they can be played as-is hehe.
