Well, I have a quandary.

I have an idea to add a wee veteran squad to my post-apocalyptic Imperial Guard army. The idea behind the squad is to act as demolitions experts, with all sorts of salvaged construction gear. I then had an idea to equip them with heavy-duty construction lasers used for cutting through metal bulkheads and the like. The thing is, would it be objectionable to used these lasers as counts-as meltaguns? In my mind they would have similar characteristics with high AP and short range. Any thoughts?

I bet that would make a lot of sense. Sounds like a cool conversion.

Sounds good, forgeworld do some lascutters which look like they'd suit the idea. If its good enough to cut a bulkhead it could cut a tank.
