Bounding Dark Angels Assault Marine

Hi All
I am in the process of creating a necron army from IA12 and I want to include some charnel scarabs. For those of you who don't know, they are basically necron scarabs that have been retuned to strip flesh from the bone and devour meat rather than nomnomnom vehicles. As such I want to (actually have to) include some sort distinction between standard scarabs and the charnel ones and I think that by placing some scale tons on the bases on the charnel I might be able to.
So I guess my question is, where should I get these skeletons from? I was looking at the fantasy range, but not having any experience with them, I'm not sure.... Preferable I would like to stay with GW, or anything I can get off eBay.
As a side note, while I'm at it I would also like to out something on the bases of the standard scarabs to represent their vehicle eating, any ideas? My current basing is just sand and flock, for a desert look
Thanks is advance

There are a number of companies which make "boneyard" style bases - lots of skulls and skeletons already cast into the base.
Failing that, check out someone selling a vampire counts bits bag on ebay as they generally have lots of bones and skulls and stuff in them.
For the vehicle eating scarabs, get some plasticard and combine them together to look like bits of armour plate - add some GS/superglue rivets and then add on some teethmarks/laser cuts/however these things eat vehicles marks and paint it all up. You could also add some vehicle bits.

Hmmmmm, that's a good idea.
I don't particularly want to buy new/custom bases as it would look really odd with what I have already. I can't believe I didn't think of just a bits bag!
The metal might work, but it doesn't have me convinced. I don't know why......
Also do you know how the proportions stack up between the skeletons and WH40K models? And how do scarabs eat vehicles?

The VC skeletons are much more delicate than most 40K models, mostly because they are thin due to being skeletons
However, they are on the same scale as 40K models (ie 28mm heroic).
I'm afraid I don't know how necrons eat vehicles - check out Lexicanum as it may say on there.

Secret Weapon miniatures have a good range of bone fields bases, as well as a bag of skulls and skeleton bodies for those in need of them.
Wargames factory also has a box of skeletons, much more cheaper than GW ones and easier to disassemble.

You could paint up the regular scarabs in their normal metallic colors, and the charnel scarabs with a good coating of tamiya clear red for the blood effects.

I managed to get my hands on some old Heroquest skeletons for my abaddon base, although I'm not sure about the availability of these models now.
