I am starting this thread here since I gave up hope that I might get some form of compensation from the particular company.

The facts are the following.

I was looking for quite some time to purchase a number of airbrush stencils. I believed that they could wield some pretty amazing results and from what I ve seen online I hoped that those would be money well spend.

One of the most advertised companies in the marker is airsick stencils. They are supposed to be offering top quality products hence their prices are a bit steep. I thought that since this is something that I don't want to throw away after a couple of uses I should buy from the best.

I made an order (number #4773) of a pair of stencils costing 17$. I paid through paypal and a 20 something days later I received my order.

The stencil with the larger pattern was ok-ish (cut outs seemed a little rough) but the one with the smaller pattern was a total mess.

As you can see below the pattern was incomplete in a lot of places making it kinda useless.

I did what I thought it would be the right thing and I contacted them through their facebook page asking them to send a replacement.

Dear Sir.

I received my order with number. #4773. The first stencil (the one with the large pattern) was ok but the second one was full of missing pieces. I am attaching a photo so you can see exactly what I mean. Is this supposed to be normal? If no can we find a way to exchange the defective one? Thank you for your time. Kostas

Hi Kostas, Thanks for your business, I am sorry that your stencil was damaged. It looks like the laser was calibrated incorrectly. I will have a replacement sent out to you today. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for your understanding.

From then on things went like this.

Dear Sir. Till now I haven't received the replacement stencil regarding order #4773. Can you please check out the shipping address and the tracking number of the replacement package? Thank you in advance for your time. Kostas.

Dear Sir. Do you have any news regarding my replacement order? Thank you. Kostas.

Dear Sir. I keep getting no reply from your side. Can you please inform me if you are gonna do anything to replace my order or not?

As you can see they completely ignore me. Paypal 45 days claim back is gone and I kinda feel that they are a dishonest and unprofessional company.

I have given up the idea of using stencils altogether (better for me to dive into freehand) but I wanted to make this post in order to warn fellow airbrush artists.

Put in a paypal dispute regardless. Copy the email chain into them and write in an explanation of why it is over 45.

A debit card is not the same as a credit card.

If you had a credit card connected you could call them issue a complaint and get a charge back done. If they accept the posts acknowledging the faults then you should get you money back immediately.

Some banks debit cards will assist in a similar vein but you would need to call them and find out what they can do. PayPal are next to useless in many cases in my experience.

The is basically why all advice you will see will say only use a credit card on Internet purchase even if you go through PayPal.
