Will these two armies pair well together? I want to go for more Inquisition and not many GK models. Obliviously taking Coteaz for cheap and effective troops, but I'm thinking I'll lack in the AA and armor department. I don't know if sisters will bring much more to the table, but I think it would be an interesting army to have. What are your thoughts on this? And before I forget, the main force is the GK and SOB as the allied detachment.

Thanks

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

So many Assassins/Crusaders/Flaggelants/People who cannot die!
But really, Sisters can provide a lot of Melta and some good anti-infantry.

I think Melta is all they really bring to the party. Everything else they had Grey Knights have as well. Though Retributors or whatever the heavies are called make a good Quad Gun unit for any army.

Well, I am personally running a Sisters with a small GK contingent. It is very in line with what you are thinking (i.e. I only run Inquisition types, not power armor / terminators).

Your list would be quite different as the Sisters component would be smaller. My recommendation is to add:

St. Celestine
1 BSS squad in a repressor / rhino
1 Dominion squad in an Immolator OR 1 Seraphim squad for St. C to hang out.
1 Exorcist

After that, feel free to add all the good henchmen types you like. It makes for a very different list.

My first thought when seeing this thread was the whole Gk wearing the blood of SoB thing.

My primary ally detatchment for my SoB army is GK Inquisition. Frankly i think its absurd that the sisters can't get them at least as 'battle brothers' but whatever.

Like what was said above, its different reversing it but it does work pretty well. You get an immortal character (celestine) that you can simply throw at stuff and not worry about her dieing. The real choices are what fast you take, and what heavy you take. Dom's and Seraphim are both awsome in fast slots (i tend to lean towards seraphim, but if your looking for anti tank then dom's may be the way to go). Exorcists are wonderful, but Retributers with a quad gun can rip stuff apart as well. Only get one heavy slot so you have to take your pick.

Good luck with it

That's very fashion forward

Yes, the plan was to run purely with Inquisition side of the GK codex. I'm not necessarily going for a TAC or competitive, but more friendly games. Though taking this to a tournament could be fun

To be honest, I think a list like this could be quite scary.

Coteaz unlocks henchmen troops. And there are SO many things you can do with them. Add a second inquisitor and drop the points for 3 servo skulls. So, when you do run across the Ravenwing army you can laugh in his face when he can't scout. I think you can make a fluffy list that still can hold its own. It really depends on what you want to field and are willing to pay for (literally).

What models do you have available?

For Henchmen I have: Acolytes with boltguns and plasma guns, servitors with plasma cannons, DCA, crusaders, a couple of monkeys, acro-flagellants (I use them as pskyers), a daemonhost (like how they look, perhaps a messed up pskyer), and Coteaz.

For Sisters I have roughly, 10 Battle Sisters, 2 Melta gunners, 2 flamers, a Canoness to be a Sister Superior.

Good news, I will be acquiring a SoB army for rather cheap, even the white dwarf issues.

Exorcists are also quite good.
Retributors on a quad gun with their rending act of faith are also good.

Justicar Thawn is basically an upgrade for a Justicar in a Terminator Squad. He has the same rule as Saint Celetine for getting back up.

I would do this, but I'm going for a Inquisition style army
