So after some really good feedback in my last army list thread i decided to revise my list and post it up again for some criticism and/or advice. Id like to know specifically any weakness versus the current meta as i haven't played a whole lot against tau or eldar yet.(1 game per each)
Here it is,

1850
-HQ-
CCS w/ plasma gun, Astropath-95 pt

-Troops-
PCS w/ 4 flamers(mounted in Vendetta as late game scoring unit)-50 pt

5 IS with power axes, melta bombs-325 pt

Veteran squad w/ 3 plasma guns, Sergeant Harker, autocannon-180 pt

-Fast attack-
Vendetta-130 pt
Vendetta-130 pt
Vulture w/ gatling punisher cannons-155 pt

-Heavy support-
Manticore-160 pt
Manticore-160 pt

-Allies-
Azrael(modeled as lord inquisitor)- 215 pt

Deathwing Terminators w/ cyclone missle launcher with lightning claws, 1 SS/TH-250 pts

Strategy is very straight forward. March Azrael blob down their throat while the rest of the toys hammer them. All comments/ questions/ advice welcome!

Overall this list is looking good now, certainly better than the last one as it is far more focused. However, to throw a spanner in the works, I checked the codex and only primary detachments with azreal get DW as troops, so somwhere you are going to have to find points for a 5-man squad of tactical marines. I meant to point this out in the other thread, but didn't have my codex handy. I can't really see anything obvious to drop though, so you'll have to just decide on that one. Sorry I can't be much help, but I imagine you will have a better idea of what you want to drop than I do.

Paradigm, that's a really good point.

How about subtracting the Deathwing Terminators, and adding an ADL with quad gun and 5 Tactical Marines to man it. That's 175 points. Then you've got enough points to throw in Marbo, and put a heavy weapon on the Tactical Squad.

This sounds like a good plan. It changes the way the list works a little, but adds some good AA and defence.

@paradigm, Your right. Seems the DW termies have to go. They're just too over costed for their purpose.

@NuggsTheNinja, Marbo+ 5 man tac squad and an ADL seem like an appropriately point costed buy. Marbo will almost always make his points back but a BS4 4 shot twin linked, intercepter,skyfire gun is no joke. Like paradigm said it does change the overall strategy a bit but i think it'l work.

so how do we feel this will fair against tau/ eldar. i am going to sub the termies for marbo,5 man tac squad with skyfire missle launcher and an ADL with quad gun.

I just had a great idea for this list. What if i drop a Vendetta and 2 flamers to put in a 5 man scout squad with snipers/camo cloaks and Al'raheim to outflank the 50 man blob.
