What are your thoughts on it. Is it competetive for BA?

I don't play BA but AV13 spam seems like a good counter to Tau and Eldar S6&7

It sounds like a possible alternative to Stormraven spam. I've run AV 13 w/ Land raider and mephiston to some success. But not great success.

The Baal predator is not that cheap and has a side armor of 11. That has caused me so many problems from things like warp spiders and Wave Serpents.

I suppose you could try triple Baal with duo DT-LRCs. Put the LRC on the ends and roll forward with AV13/14 with 5 TL-ACs...

One of my mates run BA AV13 SPAM and it works well enough for him, he has managed a few top 10's at tournies.

As for myself, I don't play BA, but with things like Aegis etc out there I'd personally love to have 3 Scouting Preds all totting Flamestorm Cannons.

the scouting Flamestorm is best when with a Land Raider. Land Raiders force target priority and provide cover to the Baal's NON-Targets in round 1. This can make them a lot more fearsome. Target selection is the key to success if you do this obviously, but its kinda not nice when three roll up and most of the enemy force NOT being roasted cant even see them. Guess whose gonna get it in the face next round?

AV13 spam has been around since last edition and while it is not as good as it was it is still competitive.
In addition to Baals I also use 2-3 normal preds, then use IG Vendetta and Avenger instead of Storm Ravens.

I like the speed they have they just move in enemy into enemy lines in basically one turn but I don't see the assault cannons very effective but maybe that's just me because I play tau with all those strong weapons

The competitive builds tend to make use of three Predators with las-cannons all around.

BA right now will not be top tier, so don't expect to much.

I agree they went from one of the best armies to one of the worst , it kinda sucks
