Deadly Dire Avenger

Hey guys, trying to make an army list for a tier of a league where the game type is Big Guns Never Tire. There'll be probably 5 games for me to play of this game type, so need a list well suited for it out of what I own. Suggestions wanted and welcome.
My 1st List Idea:
----------------------
Just threw it together now quick, have to enter the list tonight so i need them suggestions. And there IS room for improvement here definitely. List of stuff i own at bottom.
HQ:
Farseer - Jetbike, Singing Spear, Mantle = 160pts
Avatar - Crushing Blow = 205pts
TROOPS:
Jetbikes (3): Shuricannon = 61pts
Rangers (5): = 60pts
ELITES:
Wraithguard (5): = 160pts
DEDICATED TRANSPORT:
Wave Serpent: TL Scatters, Holo-fields = 135pts (For guard)
Wave Serpent: TL Scatters, Holo-fields = 135pts (For Reapers)
HEAVY SUPPORT:
Dark Reapers(5): Exarch w/ Fast Shot, Tempest Launcher, other 4 with starshots = 222pts
Wraithlord: 2 Brightlances, Ghostglaive, 2 flamers = 165pts
War Walkers (3): Each with Scatter Laser & Shuricannon = 195pts
TOTAL = 1498pts
WHAT I OWN:
-------------------
1 Farseer
1 Avatar
3 Warlocks
6 Jetbikes
5 Rangers
10 Dire Avengers
11 Guardians
9 Storm Guardians
6 Fire Dragons

Guarenteed Big Guns Never Tire? I'd take at least two Wraithknights. They are by far the best unit in the Eldar Codex for that mission.
Highly Mobile.
Extremely Tough.
Capable of killing anything but blobs.

1 wraithknight then? :-D jk.
On a serious note, I'd drop a few things. First is Avatar. The model is awesome and the guy is cool, but there are some key problems with him. First, the loss of certain Fortune plus the fact his invulnerable went from 5+ to 4+ and that MLs and LCs wound him on 2's means he will last a turn or two at the moat on the table. In a perfect scenario, he'll get a turn or two of shooting his meltas. 205 points is a helluva lot to spend on a fire magnet that has so little survivability. In a MC Eldar list he works. Outside of that, point sink.
Other change I'd do is to remove those Wraithguard. They aren't scoring and you have no shortage of high strength shots in your list. They serve no purpose in your list, except as an expensive suicide squad. Take Fire Dragons if you want something like that. Automatically Appended Next Post: I'd honestly get another WRJ squad in, rangers are good, especially with the WL to protect them from outflankers and the like. Take either 10 Dire Avengers or Guardians in aWave Serpent instead of those WG, or take 5/6 FD instead. Other than that, you are desperately in need of some FA choices. Warp Spiders first and foremost.

I'm a massive avatar fan, so I can see why you have gone with him. I give mine fast shot and monster hunter. However, if you were to drop him you could purchase a spirit seer and a wave serpent for the same cost. Suddenly your wraith guard become scoring, and a little more mobile and protected! Plus with the right rolls on the rune table, could end up with 2+ armour!
Just a thought.

You sought to cower behind your walls, weakling? Instead, by the will of Khorne, you shall die behind them |

Here's a cheeky list that I think could work nicely - it's not what I would build if given more choices but you have some great units to work with:
HQ
Farseer w/ jetbike, mantle of the laughing god (roll two on runes and try for fortune or another good power and then you can just take the div primaris for twinlinking goodness/ also hard to kill).
Troops
3 windrider jet bikes w/ shuricanon
3 windrider jetbikes w/ shuricanon (great for keeping in reserve and snatching objectives).
5 dire avengers
Wave serpent w/ holofields, scatter and shuricanon
10 guardians
Wave serpent w/ holofields, scatter and shuricanon
Elites
5 fire dragons
Wave serpent w/ holofields, scatter and shuricanon
(Hopefully you can proxy the falcob for a third serpent but wave serpents are fantastic - especially when used in groups of 3 or more! Blasting units and av 10-13 vehicles with no cover save with a twinlinked d6 +1 serpent shield at up to 60" range is a surprisingly lethal tactic).
Heavy support
3 war walkers w/ 2 brightlances each
Wraithlord w/ brightlance and another choice such as eml
(Not my favourite hs but a sturdy choice - especially with fortune).
5 dark reapers tailored to your meta
You can get this in your list for 1,500 points. I love the wave serpents and they can be effective anti air. You have a nice selection of different anti av 12-14 with the fragons, walkers, wraithlord abd serpents.
I have made this list light on elites and heavy on support and you still have some great troops choices with high mobility to boot!
Hope this helps just my thoughts.

I was going to post a list but started to read ashfire's post and decided I'd basically be retyping his. If you run a list like the one he suggested I think you will do really well. Only thing I would suggest would be to run the Walkers and Wraithlord with a SL/BL combo, but that is personal preference speaking.
