I recall reading in the BA codex that Baal was at some point about to be attacked by a combination of Daemons and Tyranids...

What happened? I'm assuming this wasn't an "alliance" by Nids/Daemons, or people would be ranting about it... and has this battle actually happened, or is it just another case of GW "grimdark-Imperium-is-about-to-die" fluff?

I'd love to see what actually happens here, or better yet, a campaign...

It's pretty much the "grimdark stuff is about to happen" that it seems every Codex has been getting. As for a campaign or something - not only are the Blood Angels not the only one to have had this kind of fluff update in 5th, but it's been a good couple of YEARS since the book came out, so don't hold your breath...

The battle is due to happen. All successor chapters have been called to Baal's aid.

The pile-drive did happen, its mentioned in the BA 5th edition codex but it was a separate occasion from the upcoming battle on Baal.

First new paragraph on pg. 19 of the codex is where the Sanguinor/Ka'Bandha fight begins.

I meant more of a local Gaming store campaign, I don't expect GW to run one in the next few years.

It says that Ka'Bandha came back and with an army of Daemons and the Hive Fleet Behemoth?? was on direct course for Baal and it suggested the end of the BA.

I think it will sort of turn into an Armageddon sort of thing.

A tendril of Hive Fleet Leviathan is on a direct course for Baal and Ka'Bandha's daemon army has already attacked the outermost planet of the Baal system. Dante calls for aid from the Blood Angel successor chapters and all but the Lamenters arrived in force. We'll see what the eventual 6th edition BA codex does with the situation.

Hopefully it'll do something because so far the vast majority of 6th Edition codexes have gone BACKWARDS in time.

As long as sanguinary priests keep FNP I'll be happy.

I'd love to see this played out, but every part of me says it won't.

Dont get excited, if its covered at all it will probably be done with lame plot armour. Kha Bhanda will suddenly realise that he considers Roboute Gulliman to be his spiritual liege and rush off to macragge to swear loyalty to Marneus Calgar.

Note that the Blood Angels were virtually wiped out assaulting the Space Hulk Sin of Damnation loosing 950 Marines - so it will have to be pretty dark to eclipse that!
