Hello folks!!
FarseerAndyman checking in here.
Some of you guys may have been following our Planetary Empires Campaign in the Battle reports section.
We will be playing the Crusade Of Fire next and I am going to give you guys a weekly rundown of the events in a narrative form and highlights from the games I play and links to the appropriate Dakka Battle Report threads as my more technical group members post them.
So far we have...
Myself -- Chaos Daemons / Chaos Space Marine allies. This army will be used for the entire campaign.
Alex -- Fire Hawks ( Vanilla Marines from the Badab Campaign ) or perhaps Tau...hes the guy in Omaha that brought the "TripTide" list to the Bugeater Grand Tourney last year.
Marv -- Chaos Daemons
John -- Minotaurs ( Vanilla Marines from the Badab Campaign )
Robert -- Orks
Ryan -- Orks
Corey -- Chaos Daemons / Chaos Space Marine allies
Paul -- Imperial Guard and he is also the Fleet Admiral for the BFG games. EDIT-- Paul will be playing Ultramarines.
Nathan -- Eldar
John -- Dark Eldar .. or perhaps Tyranids, depends on his timing for the purchase of the bugs. EDIT -- John will be playing the DE.
Cory -- Space Wolves with Eldar allies and he is the other Fleet Admiral for our BFG games. EDIT -- Cory wil not be able to make this campaign.
Chad -- Tau or perhaps Silver Skulls ( Vanilla Marines )
So we have a pretty eclectic group of players, and the majority of us have been playing since Rogue Trader days.
Look forward to some pretty underhanded tactics from the Chaos players.
And I am introducing a Relic into our campaign.
Mantle of Command
The General in possession of this piece of Archeotech can muster resources from across the sector with amazing speed and accuracy.
Capable of communicating across an entire sector of space with crystal clear accuracy and relay capabilities.
The General in possession of this item can bring in ( 1 ) Battle Brother Troop allies as Elite choices in their primary detachment.
Example : My Marines want to bring in a unit of Tau Firewarriors. They are purchased out of the Tau codex for points as listed, and occupy an Elite slot in the Marine army F.O.C. No need for an H.Q. slot to be occupied by an Tau character. Oterwise they function just as any ally would on the tabletop.
