The guys at my FLGS do a modelling and painting day every second Saturday of each month. On those days everyone also generally brings in ALL their bits for trades and kit-bashing help from the better modelers. It was there, on a few of these days, that I slowly gathered the pieces I desired. There was a massive influx of dark angels at my store a while back and I acquired a great looking robed terminator torso in exchange for a melta-gun and a flamer. I then got legs from another DA guy for a H.Bolter. Then out of no where, one guy shows up with some third party bits from Emperor knows where, but he had an AMAZING set of shoulder pads....and a shield. Oh that medieval kite shield. I had to have it. Ended up trading some painting time for it all. But in the end I threw on a lightning claw and bashed together my Black Templar Marshal.

This guy has been AMAZING. I normally take him with adamantine mantle and bionics and master-crafted weapon to further up his badassery. To date he has clawed his way through Farseers, Demon Princes, an Avatar of Khaine, hordes of CSM and cultists, he sneezed his way through entire tau armies. In fact the only fight he did not do great in was against Ghazghkull. Here he is at last (He took me forever to finally get around and paint)

Let me know what yall think

Great paint job, but his right arm looks a bit wonky...

The big golden plate was a part of the shoulder pad. I didnt see a good way to mirror it to the left...its why I chose some legs that make him look a little more dynamic and leaning. I had some where he stood straight up and the arm REALLY looked too bulky then.

Hes a terminator though, bulky is good in the end I think of it as extra armor on his right side for not having a shield like his left does.

Dude, neat conversion. These parts are from hitech miniatures. I got a set of termie legs from and a termie archangel by them, still finding the inspiration to use it.

Once again great conversion, badassery indeed.

Hey thanks for that info...I am thinking about making ANOTHER one of these guys lol. I want a warlord in normal power armor for the ability to just change some army setups...these shoulders REALLY make the warlord pop out so having another set would be great.
