Hey, Folks

I'm looking to expand my Cryx army a little bit. I'm trying to be good and only paint what I have with the occasional must-have-bargain snapped up from eBay.

One thing I do want to get is a new Helljack to give Edward, my much suffering Slayer, a bit of a rest now and again. In honour of his long and dutiful service I won't be stripping him down to magnetize but keeping him as is. But, between ourselves, he is a little vanilla.

The casters I player are pDenny, and pGaspy. I've also got their epic versions and pSkarre.

The usual suspects of Defilers, a Cankerworm, a Stalker, Bane Knights, Satyxis Raiders, and McThralls are also to be found within my happy little band.

Armies I face are most often Khador and Trolls, so I do sometimes find myself struggling in scenarios or to put their heavies in the ground.

Thematically, I was wondering about Denny or Gaspy's 'pet' jacks. But something with a bit more bite and some novelty to it would be rather nice - bascially I want to buy one 'jack and not add anything else to the army for about six months while I catch up on my painting.

The Deathjack might be the route for you to go. It's a complete monster, it can generate its own focus, and it has a bunch of other neat tricks that make it into a legitimate threat.

Deathjack will certainly help you with your heavy problem. He also does a good job of clearing infantry, which only powers him up for next turn. I've heard tales of Deathjack with 10+ Focus.

A Reaper, from personal experience across the table, can be a decent toolbox jack. The ability to drag an enemy heavy out of position to destroy at your leisure is a powerful option, heck it even works on Warcasters. It does require focus support to make it reliable.

Harrower is rediculous. He can keep attacking until there is no one in his reach melee range.

Malice is a good buy. Goes well with eGaspy. Cankerworm being gaspys affiliated jack runs well with malice as a combo.

Deathjack though is where the money is.

I was going to say Nightmare or Deathjack up until I read the very last part. You probably want Deathjack.

Though Nightmare is good with the Dennys and isn't exactly pillow fisted. And stealth on a heavy jack is cool. I love running Nightmare with pDenny in particular. I've won a large number of games with nightmare beating down my opponents caster.

Deathjack is most probably the best Warjack in the game, certainly top three at worst. Definitely worth picking up. The only downside is he'll make you realize how subpar most of the rest of the Cryx 'Jacks are.
