So I've been thinking about a list someone posted a while back about combining GK and DA so the entire army has PE: CSM/CD. I liked it but I didn't have a reason to build one until I started looking into the order of St. Lazarus and decided to try and adapt the ideals a bit for 40k. The restrictions are that the entire army has to have PE:CSM/CD, a low model count and decently competitive. My first list is below, the idea being the librarian joins the paladins and rolls on divination, belial joins the command squad, the vindicare and purgation sit behind the aegis while everything else deep strikes. Any help is welcome, though I would like to keep the vindicare if possible. Thanks in advance

Just a quick question why put the psybolt ammunition on the purgation squad as it does not boost the psycannon strength

Other than that I think it is a good start for a themed army. I personally do not think it would be highly competitive in the current meta due to the low model count issue you already addressed.

Honestly id stick with the theme add more pallys and less strike squads, just fits the theme a bit more and 30 terminators aren't easy to chew.

slightly modified list, dropped the psybolt ammo and added 4 more pallys in exchange for 5 strike squad. I also dropped the deathwing command squad for 5 deathwing knights. same model count and +1 ws in exchange for less ranged weaponry. With the number of pallidins going up, maybe it would be worth it to drop the strike squads and librarian for draigo and all pallys. Thoughts?

Drop the falchions, they are really not worth the points.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

Paladins: throw both your squads together (seperate them later as fighting units). If you drop the falchions (which are too expensive for their effect) you can have an additional Paladin (making it 10) and, if I'm not mistaken in points, you can get psybolt ammo for one squad.

Incinerator: On strike squads they are abit expensive (but hey, if you want them, they sure are fun), so I would think about replacing them with psycannons. Giving incinerators to a purgation squad would also be very nice in terms of point cost (reducing their range, so you decide what you want).

I thought Belial only made DW troops if they were in the Primary Detachment...?

He does but I thought that an allies detachment was an additional primary detachment from a different army (I may be wrong and if so need to make some changes to the list arrangement)
Dropping the falchions is a good idea. I'm not sure about switching the psycannons and incinerators but seeing the point cost difference I may

according to the german Online Codex, it works as an additional primary detachment, and DW becomes troops.

I'm not sure about the exact ruling but I rewrote two lists. One with DA as the primary, and the second as GK as the primary

The first list is illegal, belial only makes terminators troops in a primary detachment.

I like the first list more because of the variety (I am not quite sure it works with the detachment thingy and all, but I think it does (according to the (possibly flawed) German translations)).
The second list is a bit too much Draigowing for my taste (very subjective). Furthermore, for an allied detachment only 1 troops is compulsory, so you could join the two squads to one and make therefore psybolt ammo cheaper (or somesuch).

New list (again!) DA are now the primary detachment, GK allies. I agree with having more variety. I think I will combine the pally squads as well, good point saver. I'll adjust it again but I wanted people's opinion on what they think might be better, purgation or interceptor squad?

Purgation of Interceptor... well I think it depends on what you want (or how you can adjust your list when seeing the battlefield). In my opinion both types are somehow great (not talking about effectiveness, since I just like them):
The interceptors are quite flexible in moving around on the field, since they count as jump units. In addition to being able to deep strike and their one-time teleport (and mainly being equipped with assault weapons), they really are some mobile lads.
The Purgators have the great astral sight, which is great for keeping them in cover and still shooting the enemy. Equip them with the teleport homer (is that the right term?) and you can deep strike some nasty surprises for the enemy in their vicinity.
So, basically the choice is yours, but I tend to go for mobility first.
