The plan is pretty straight froward. nightfighting puts a huge hamper on certain lists due to nightfighting, and heavy mech lists could suffer some huge casualties. The skyrays/barge backed up by the nightscythe will deal with opposing flyers and FMCs fairly well. The kroot infiltrate and hide or outflank and hide. And in the end, the bomb kills everything else.

Bringing Nightfight seems like a great mechanic until you face one of the many codexes that easily ignore Nightfight. Also, keep in mind the lightning bolts will be hitting your Tau. Imotekh quickly becomes a liability/tax that you can't afford.

Thats what the chromotek is for, to prevent damage to myself. Nightfight will really hamper one of the new and mean armies out there. Eldar. They have nothing to deal with it. I know waveserpent ignore cover with that shield, but they are still limited in range. That in itself will force them to come out in the open and put themselves in danger to attempt to deal with my list.

The chrono only lets you reroll once per phase, so it isn't going to save your units. It would be a hell of a lot cheaper and safer just to take a normal overlord plus a cryptek with a pulse.

Yes, but the chances are slim I hit one of my Tau units anyways. So one reroll is about all I need anyways.
