So, my mate gave me his pot of Imperial Primer, because he didn't know what it was, and I've been using it as a wash, as the pigment and liquid have been separated, so it's like a black ink, but it's very strong, has this happened to anyone else?

That's e only thing I've ever really used my imperial primer for, it's horrible as an actual primer IMO.

Eagles soar, but weasels don't get sucked into Jet Engines.

I've used it to pretty good effect before as a primer. Not as good as spray, and it takes a couple coats, but it came out nice and smooth. Obviously, only good for bits or a couple small models.
