Having sold of various pieces of my old armies in the spirit of clear stuff out for moving I decided to settle for just one playable army for now and dip into my other projects in good time, for this reason I have been looking through my various old projects and kept coming back to Newcrons as something I never fully explored despite liking the playability and look of 90% of their units (much more than I like about most other armies). With a budget of about £125 I've been working on a good jump off point into Necron armies that will give me a playable 1000 point force aswell as a good selection of units that I will use in larger battles when I purchase further units.

Here is what I have worked out:

Overlord – Resurrection Orb

Royal Court – 4 x Destructeks

Triarch Stalker – HGC

Necron Warriors x 10
Ghost Ark

Necron Warriors x 10
Ghost Ark

Immortals – Tesla x 5

Which comes pretty close to 1000 points minus some small change, the crypteks will take one of the Arks, with 10 warriors in the other. The final 10 warriors will footslog with the overlord and benefit from both arks feeding them fresh bodies if they should happen to fall. The Immortals will take the home objective and pop off shots at anyone coming nearby and the Stalker will take on sniping duties of transports or serve to twinlink shots of the rest of the army where needed.

C&C welcome as always/

Thanks, the one part of the list that I wasnt overly sure of was the Stalker, I know alot of people swear by Barges but I lack the ££ for 2 of them currently However Tomb Blades, Spyders or Wraiths all seemed as appealing as the Stalker albeit with different specialties.

I'm a bit new to things here, but I'd recommend more by way of anti-MEQ firepower. Currently your Lanceteks will need to be doing a serious amount of work.
Despite the additional troop choice of the immortals being important for holding objectives, it really might be worth thinking about shaving some points there by either

A):
Change warrior Arc to a Night Scythe (saving 15 points) and get rid of the immortals to get some 'staff of light' lords or wraiths in there.

B):
Change the immortals to warriors (save 20 points), change arc to Night Scythe (save 15 points), remove triarch stalker (for a total of 200 points)
and get a Monolith, Doom Scythe, Wraith-squad or DestroyerLord + 5 Warriors.

C):
Change the immortals to warriors and the arc to a night scythe, then give the warlord a warscythe and mind-shackle scarabs, and have the overlord do most of the work in CC that the warriors couldn't do in overwatch or rapidfire.

Wraiths will be a great shout with this list for both being very capable damage dealers to light infantry, heavy infantry, light rear-AV tanks and great for holding up units from shooting or assaulting, letting you get positional advantage where you need it.

Having said all this, I'm a bit new to necron so take my advice with a pinch of salt.

You could also get rid of the RC and immortals, only let 5x Warriors in each GA and make a large 20x Warriors squad walking with your RO Overlord between the 2 GA for the Repair Barge special rule.

You should have enough spare points for a weave on your OL so he can tank a bit for your blob.

This should keep the spirit of your first list without investing too much in new models and you have a very resillient blob that can get great benefit from either your GA and Triarch Stalker.

You could also think about a monolith to expand your army later on. It will add armor saturation and mobility for your blob.

For your budget I would actually recommend you get 2 battleforces and an Anni Barge.

The battleforces include 20 warriors, 5 deathmark/immortal, GA, plus 5 scarab bases.

I'm going to assume you don't mind a bit of conversion/kitbashing so, from the battleforces

a) Build 30 warriors
b) Build 10 tesla immortals
c) With the legs and chests from 7 warriors, build the deathmarks
d) With the 2 remaining deathmark heads, convert 3 crypteks from warriors, using whatever bits you have for staffs, cloaks etc.
e) Build the GA(s) - you can always magnetise if you want the DA instead.

The AB kit comes with an overlord (a plastic one with a base) and is designed to swap between a CCB/Anni Barge.

With that lot, you'll have a lot more options for a 1000pt list. It will be more of a mech list (based around the GA and the AB).

For tarpitting and counter assault, you'll have 10 scarab bases - that's fine (particularly if you use Zandrekh to give them furious charge).

Deathmarks are a very nasty unit - pair with a VeilTek and you have a unit that will take out many units. I went with 7, because that is a good size, but you can just make 5 if you more warriors.
