I have a space wolf army that is not done as normal SW but rather in black with a bit of white and silver (a very nice effect), I've been thinking of calling it Russ' Mourning. The company symbol is three white lines on black, my thought was 1st for Russ, 2nd for the 13th, and last for all the fallen heroes of the SW. I thought of this fluff to explain my excess number of Wolf Lords and Wolf Guard. I feel as though they are an auxiliary company formed from Space Wolves who believe more strongly in Russ then the Emperor (almost to a heretical degree) and took a step away from the main companies to join those more like minded. I believe this identity gives an essence of relentlessly loyal heroes and the ends they would go to to bring back their missing primarch.
Any opinions on this new fluff?

The 13th company is pretty much never spoken of by the Wolves, and their memory is pretty rigorously scoured and scorned, I don't see a memorial stripe for them making sense.

thats what i also thought but i couldn't think of a reason for it. I chose the three white stripes because it matches a scar on my back. I thought the memorial would fit here as the company is based around mourning and remembrance of those lost before them

Well the Space Wolves are devoted to Russ already. I mean...we but heads against the Inquisition enough. Not to mention the Wolves follow and answer only to Russ(They are just that devoted). But your fluff for your company is interesting, sounding as if they would some whom heard the tale told by Old Bjorn The Fell-Handed upon the mighty feasts and felt their gene seed surge with the desire to follow their lost father(We are sons of Russ after all Wolf Brother :3). The black slab is to remember the lost but I do think them taking to performing their own rememberince is awesome! They literally take to the field with their lost brothers which just sounds kick awesome! Now I think I just said some stuff to add(the thing about Bjorn) in fact I'd even go to say they follow close to Bjorn because of how close he was to Russ and because they too share the same goal as Bjorn...To find and fight along side their Primarch(once more for Bjorn's case).

I never thought of the thing about Bjorn, thanks. I'm actually planning to get him sooner or later
