On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Hey guys,

A friend and I are thinking of expanding beyond narrative events and instead running a local ITS (International Tournament System for the un-initiated). We've decided to go for a 'virtual pack' from the Infinity webstore (and to start small), but wondered if anyone had had experience of organising an ITS?

Couple of questions I hope someone can help with!
1) Do the different packs offer different ITS points for the competitors? For example, the Virtual pack offer more than the small 4-player packs?

2) What does the virtual pack actually contain?

3) Could anyone offer advice on suitable missions? We were hoping for 6-8 players so possibly a standard 'winner plays winner' style format - at the moment we are thinking between the Paradiso missions (which we are leaning against as we want this to be an introductory ITS) and the YAMS system.

Any thoughts on this, or if anyone has any other general comments or advice about ITS, I would be very grateful for anything shared!

Check the ITS rules.

1) See Organized Play and Mini Tournament and Classic Tournament in Downloads. Virtual Pack is a tournament point pack for 4+ players while Mini Tournament pack is for 4 players. Minipack has less ITS points given to players.

2) Code to report the tournament (and the ITS points). Basically just an email.

3) You can't play non-ITS missions in ITS. So no Paradiso or YAMS for you, sorry. Choose from ITS Scenarios. The pairing system is also in the ITS guides.

Remember that ITS is worldwide Organized Play system so no house rules, own scenarios, mercenaries, dice fudging and so on. Play by the book and ITS rules.

Forever a pone.

It's a good thing that's not what the PDFs actually say, or all the Gencon tournament results would be invalid, as would the events held at Tabletop Nation etc. etc...
