I asked if I could pick up and pay in person since I live in the LA area. No response yet...

I think he is doing it now for the sake of doing it. Perhaps even just to troll and harass those he hold responsible for the failure(s) of his previous venture(s). It may be he is just harassing us at this point and if he makes a bit of money on the side great, but he is eating up our time which could be better spent on something else. Just food for thought, not saying we should let it go at all just wishing he could go away permanently so we could all relax without our monthly Mandelbonderkimbirdscammer visit.

I would happily meet in person with the guy running BCS. It says they are Los Angeles based and so am I. I asked on the site if I could show up in person to pay for and collect merchandise, one was deleted the other received no response from them.

Now, if someone not banned might post this unedited over on BCS?

Done. I have a screenshot of it but can't currently add it to this post due to work blocking me from photobucket.

Hmmm it would appear the Lexicanum post is gone but mine is still there...

I am however now banned from posting!

Awww... Now the comment is gone too. So much for truth, and transparency on the internet Mr. BCS.

Can't see your comment on his page. Can you see mine?

I can still see my own comment. If you can't see it it means he marked it as "spam" which means it's hidden from people not on my friendslist =only my friends can still see it.

Hmmm... I can't see any of it anymore. I am posting as Capture and Control not as myself, I am pretty sure Capture and Control follows Lexicanum on FB but that doesn't mean I can see the spam posts necessarily. I am not going to post as myself on anything doing with Mandlebonder.

I hope his fury and paranoia drive him to spend time searching for my real name to ban that account too. Just so I know he wasted the time.

I have reported the BCS facebook page several times now. To no avail, not that I expected it to accomplish anything.

See you're trying to use people logic. DM uses Mandelogic, which we've established has 2+2=quack.

Interesting.

He threatens those trying to show up and help him prove he isn't Mandlebonder. Interesting tactics, too bad I can't post on that page as C&C...

He does realize that a simple Google Search, and search on Ancestry.com and background check sites, easily points to Alan Welson as not being a real person who lives in LA right?

The only Alan Welson on record who ever officially lived in the LA area was born in 1911 and lived in Alameda CA for the 1930 Census...

Google and Ancestry.com? Oh please... That doesn't prove anything to be honest. Don't know what is meant by "background check sites", and I don't know if in the US all info on everybody has to be accessible. But I am least sceptical to infer that a person doesn't exist from that.

In the US you can do a relatively good job of proving a persons existence. It usually requires paying a bit of money but all birth certificates etc are part of public record.

Good to know. In most Europoean states that data is quite protected.

Not to mention it is more than a bit odd for a person to have an almost non-existent internet footprint aside from their FB page and a thread on Dakka linking them to someone else entirely...

California birth, death, fetal death, still birth, marriage and divorce records are maintained by the California Department of Public Health Vital Records.

From the CA.gov website. Which means there should be some record of a guy who never lived anywhere else but Los Angeles.

I work for a Private Catholic School, the Faculty have very few blocked sites and FB isn't one of them. I think it really depends on the industry you're in tbh.

But I too doubt DM has any other source of income with how much he uses FB.

Ergh, his taunting... Alan is pretty much taunting us that we can't touch him there...

MajorTom, man, i can see where you are coming from, but as an outside observer, i have to say it is easy for people to doubt that Alan is another Mandelbaum alias...

the fact that you guys exposed the Warhound scam is great work...
trying to convince the Average Joe that this is Mandelbaum again, with no evidence to provide, is a bit harder...
i don't doubt you, and it does look like the same thing all over again, but someone who has never heard of Mandelbaum is going to be a lot more skeptical...
thus, the Facebook defenders...

it would be nice if Munkey Joe could somehow lead the right authorities to take an interest in the scams, and put an end to it...

personally, i get a little sick everytime i see another link from Alan in my junk box...
simply thanks to the Warhound scam...
that is some messed up stuff right there...
being able to make a living off minis is a gift, and should be treated as such...

finally, being from L.A. myself, i've never heard of this guy...
not that that matters, L.A. is a huge place, but Long Beach is right next to Redondo, and we all go to the same four little conventions at the Westin, every year...
you think i would have at least heard about the guy making great conversions, at some point...
i could easily provide a few store owners who could vouch for my identity, and i'm not even in town that often anymore...

sorry you have to go through this all again, MT...
thanks for your hard work and vigilance...

cheers
jah

Yep that red text x1000. I am from the LA area too and although I don't think we know each other I bet if we sat down it wouldn't take long for one of use to recognize the name of someone we have bother played a game with. I would say what, maybe 2 minutes max?

Well I thought I would weigh in with a little bit of personal info about Daniel. As some know I have talked with Daniel. Not as of late but I have actually talked on a Phone to him. I hooked up with him around the time his Three stage studios business was starting to fail. Here is some Facts I have about him

His sculpting is good BUT his casting is gak. I DID give him tips and such and was in the talks about working with him as a partner as I can cast. Not to brag but I think Im pretty good. Anyway His casting is not up to par (or wasn't) with bitz companies, but more on par with Garage casting. Low end Casting NOT Shawn Nagle Garage casting. That is how I got into contact with him in the first place, to take his casting to the "pro" level and help catch him up on back orders.

I ALSO went to bat for him About the Knight titan Fiasco. Ironcally I KNOW Enrique and have done Business with him before enough to Be trusted by him. He contacted me about the recasting of his product and I served as mediator to get over this. This was a Spanish kit owned by Enrique, supposedly being supplied by some British caster who was never named, and then sent to Daniel to sell. this was nipped pretty quick and All I did was accommodate communication with Daniel and Enrique.

I started communication with Daniel to Re produce the Truescale Termies and to develop some terrain and models to start my shop. After some back and forth communication I set up a face to face meeting with a trusted friend in Dallas which he did not show for and shortly after I lost contact and have yet to hear from him. I still have my True scale designs for this project and have not done anyting with them because of the stigma. My loss to protect my good name.

I was briefly pointed here by a personal friend (pinkymaster on here??) when the Resin forge fiasco started, and I gave all the info I had on Daniel to the proper sources . I had contact info and a address and nothing but decent talks with him to provide as again I was never scammed.

Now with this I was asked about casting terrain by Alan. I of course offered my help as I do with most anyone who will ask. I gave him tips on how to make good casts and troubleshot some issues he had. I did not have much time to plan or discuss things before this titan thing took over the discussions.

NOW I have a Vacuum and pressure casting system, and I get professional results. I have been casting for close to 10 years now and I invested time and money into my hobby as I like doing it. Resin casting is a hobby BUT its not for the faint of heart. its a lot to learn and can get pretty expensive. I will not go into details here but You can spend LOTS of cash into it. I have doubts about Daniel casting things as he always wanted me to cast because I knew how. Not saying he cant learn But I dont think he is casting. NOW this is pretty much my dealings with everyone involved with this and I will discuss my knowledge and experience with anyone here. Ask whatever you want about whatever and I'll likely chat, but know that casting is not just something you can pick up overnight and not something cheap.

My apologies upfront if you already addressed this.

As far as I remember you normally refer to Alan as Alan not Daniel, did he admit to you via PM that he is in fact Daniel Mandelbaum? If so when and under what circumstances? As I understand it Alan had not admitted to being Daniel or slipped up yet. Again, I apologize if you already covered this.

Perhaps the switch back to Resinforge and using his actual name is so he can try to go after those people he blames for his failures legally.

There is little legal recourse he has when using an alias but there is plenty of legal hay he could throw, albeit he won't get far when everything comes to light, if he is using his real name and has a registered business. His strategy may be to make enough legal problems for those in the community who fight his scams that we give up.

Obviously I don't think anyone is going to give up and let him just go on doing what he does but that may be the strategy he is attempting to implement. Or he could just be trying to seem legit, and seem like he is attempting to be legit in order to rip off more people. Lord only know what his real intentions are but I am more concerned over his not creating a new alias than I would be over him creating a new alias.

I readily welcome any challenges he thinks he can throw my way.

He won't be a legitimate business until everything MT11 requested happens. I've got no mercy to someone who tried to mess with my ability to provide for my family.

No money for lawyers. No income or damages to be won that would make a case worthwile for lawyers. Remember the last made-up "lawyer/ consultancy" of his. PLus lawyers are like policemen: "Dolls?"

EDIT:
Relax Inq S, I've PMed you, but I was jesting, don't fret.

Usage of smilies can prevent misconceptions But let's not dwell on this now.

Don't get me wrong I don't think any of what he is trying will work. I just find it more disconcerting that he is NOT using an alias anymore.

Aerethean I understand exactly where you are coming from. Attempting to get you fired was not just ridiculous but a completely unforgivable act.

I dunno, if it's a fake account, how could he have taken over the Resin Forge FB page?

Would need to have the original page creator make you an admin/mod to do that kind of stuff. :-/

Since the DM-Doppleganger account is posting on behalf of Resin Forge, and we know DCF to be a Daniel Mandelbaum alias, I'm more inclined to believe the two are connected since Daniel Mandelbaum IS in fact updating the Resin Forge page, which he claims he has nothing to do with...

This is confusing, but I think I have things straight...

Where are you getting the idea that the Daniel Mandelbaum account is running the Resin Forge page? All that I've seen that comes close to that is that he posted a link to Resin Forge. But anyone can do that, you don't need admin access.

All of the posts on the Resin Forge page are from the generic Resin Forge account.

Although on that note, it's worth pointing out that despite this grand new age of transparency and legitimacy, the Resin Forge page still appears to contain no public information on the identity of the business owner other than the postal address and phone number. No name.

I'm half tempted to call the phone number and ask for Daniel Charlie Frank just to throw them off...lol

I would be sure to call from a pay phone or a prepaid cell...
